RPF SI Application Form 2024: The Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) re-opened the window to pay the application fees for RPF SI exam. This facility is available for candidates who have submitted their online applications before the last date, i.e. May 14, 2024 and could not pay the fees. The window is available from May 18 to 20, 2024.

RRBs have found that the photograph/signature of candidates were not as per the standard. Therefore, the examination authority has decided to activate the link to upload the photograph/signature. The link will be available from May 27 to 31, 2024.

RPF SI application correction window was activated on May 15, 2024. The last date to make corrections in the application form is May 24, 2024. RPF SI application form 2024 filling process closed on May 14. The apply online link was activated on April 15, 2024. Both male and female candidates could fill the application form. Candidates were required to fill out only one RPF SI 2024 application form. The application fee for RPF SI was INR 500 for unreserved categories while it was INR 250 for reserved categories. Selection of candidates for RPF SI is done based on the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Measurement Test (PMT), and Document Verification (DV).

Q:   When RPF SI application form 2024 was released?

A:

RPF SI application form was released on April 15, 2024. The application form needs to be filled online only. The application fees are INR 500 for the Unreserved category, whereas, the other categories SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen/Female will have to pay INR 250. The application amount is refunded by the MoR when the candidate appears for the RPF CBT exam (INR 400 is refunded for UR and INR 250 is refunded for the other categories excluding the banking charges).

  • Register for the exam
  • Verify the Email ID and Mobile Number through OTP
  • Fill Part 2 and 3 of RPF SI application page
  • Update bank details
  • Upload the required documents

  • Click on the ‘modify application’ link
  • Login using registration number and password
  • Pay the modification fee
  • After making payment, login using registration number and password then proceed with the changes and submit the application
 

RPF SI 2024 Application Form Correction

Candidates need to keep the following points in mind while making corrections in the RPF SI application form:

  • If Candidates edit the details filled in the 'Create an Account' form (Including mobile number and email ID), they need to pay a modification fee of INR 250. Each time they make any changes in the application, the required fees needs to be paid
  • Details filled in ‘Create an Account’ form (including mobile number and Email ID) cannot be changed
  • The modification fee is to be paid by all candidates irrespective of community and category
  • In case candidates wants to modify their communities from SC/ST to UR or OBC or EWS, they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee or else the modified application is not accepted
  • Similarly, if a candidate is switching from Ex.SM to UR/OBC (NCL)/EWS/Non Ex.SM etc., they need to pay the difference in examination fee i.e. INR 250 in addition to the modification fee
  • Modifications in the application form is allowed any number of times subject to payment of the modification fee

Q:   How can candidates ensure that they fill out the RPF SI application form correctly to avoid rejection?

A:

While filling the RPF SI application form, candidates must ensure that they fill the details correctly as the examination authority might reject their applications on several grounds. Candidates must keep the following points in mind so that their applications does not get rejected. 

  • Candidates must submit only one application form.  In case of multiple applications, all the applications are rejected and such candidates are debarred from all future RRB and RRC exams
  • Candidates must upload their photographs as per the format. Invalid photos lead to rejection in the application form
  • Candidates must upload their signature in the correct format
  • No refund of examination fee will be made on account of rejection of applications
 

Q:   Do I need to pay any fees inorder to make corrections in RPF SI application form?

A:

After the final submission of RPF SI application form, if candidates want to make corrections in the create an account form  (including mobile number and Email ID), they need to pay a modification fee of INR 250. This modification fee is common irrespective of community and category. The modification fee is applicable in case of candidates changing their community. 

 

How to fill RPF SI Application form 2024?

Documents Required to Fill RPF SI Application Form

Candidates are required to have the following documents inorder to fill RPF SI application form:

  • Recent, clear colour passport size photograph (against a plain white background) of the candidate in JPEG image (size 30 to 70KB)-without wearing dark glasses and/or
  • Candidates must have at least 12 (twelve) copies of the same photograph for future use during the recruitment process
  • Scanned JPEG image of candidate’s signature in running handwriting (size 30 to 70KB)
  • SC /ST Certificate (only for candidates requesting free pass for train travel) in pdf format (upto 500KB)

Steps to Fill RPF SI Application Form

Candidates need to submit their application form through the official websites of Indian Railways. To fill the application form, candidates need to follow the below-mentioned process:

  • Click the ‘New Registration’ link on the home page of the online registration portal 
  • Confirm that candidates have read and understood the instructions clearly by clicking the checkbox
  • Select the Zonal Group to which they would like to apply

Primary Registration

  • Enter name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar number (Optional), state/UT, category, education board, 10th/matric roll number, year of passing 10th/Matric, mobile number, and email-ID and then submit for registration
  • Before submitting the RPF SI registration form, candidates must ensure and confirm that all the information is correct

Verification of Email ID and Mobile Number through OTP

  • On submitting the registration details, an OTP will be sent to the candidate's registered email and another OTP to their mobile number
  • Click on the ‘Verify through OTP’ link on the home page of the online registration portal and enter the OTPs in the respective fields
  • Candidates can proceed with the registration only by entering both the OTPs
  • On verification, a unique registration number is generated
  • Candidates can proceed with the online application by clicking on the ‘Candidate Login’ link on the home page using the registration number

Part II & III of the Application Page

  • Candidates need to provide the details of educational qualification, community, gender, religion, ExSM, Minority, Economically Backward Class, Age Relaxation, etc.
  • Set priority/preferences for railways by clicking on the ‘Preference’ dropdowns
  • Fill detailed educational qualification
  • Candidates need to choose the exam language from the drop-down list
  • Candidates must fill details like mother tongue, address for communication etc.

Bank Details

  • Candidates should provide details of the beneficiary account in which they would like to receive the refund
  • It is mandatory for all candidates to fill in the details of their bank accounts
  • On completion of application details, candidates will be directed to the payment page. They need to choose payment mode, online (net banking/credit card/debit card) and offline (SBI Challan) of Post Office Challan

Uploading Photograph

  • After verification of payment, candidates need to upload the photograph
  • The photograph should be in the size 35mm X 45mm with the name and date of the photo taken printed on it
  • The photograph should be in JPG/JPEG format 
  • The size of the photograph should be between 15 and 40 kb
  • Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to upload the scanned copy of their SC/ST certificates for availing the facility of free travel authority (Second Class Railway Pass)
  • The file should be in JPG/JPEG format between 50kb and 100 kb for signature 

In the end, candidates have to confirm the declaration. After confirming, candidates can download the print of the application and preserve it for reference and record.

After the final submission of the online application form, in case of candidates want to make changes, they can do so by paying INR 250. Q:   How many vacancies were announced for RPF SI exam?

A:

RPF SI vacancies were announced along with the notification. A total of 452 vacancies were announced for RPF SI exam. The selection of candidates against the vacancies will be done based on CBT, Physical Efficiency Test (PET) / Physical Standard Test (PST),  Document Verification & Medical. Any graduate candidate can apply for the exam.

The different stages of RPF SI selection process are explained below:

Phase 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the initial stage of selection process that assesses candidates' knowledge in subjects such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.

Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the CBT are then required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET includes physical tasks such as running, long jump, and high jump. 

Phase 3: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Candidates who clear the PET are subjected to a Physical Measurement Test to ensure that they meet the prescribed physical standards.

Phase 4: Document Verification- After clearing the PET and PMT, candidates need to provide the necessary documents to verify their eligibility, which typically includes educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents.

 

Q:   What is RPF SI application fees?

A:

The application fee for RPF SI is INR 500 for unreserved categories while it is INR 250 for reserved categories. Interested candidates need to fill the application form online. The fee refund process of RPF SI is given below:

  • All candidates must clearly mention the bank details (Name of Bank, Name of Account Holder, Account Number and IFSC Code) for receiving the refundable portion of their examination fee (i.e., ₹ 400/- or ₹ 250/- as applicable minus bank charges) in their application
  • The responsibility for furnishing correct bank account details lies on the candidates and RRB shall not entertain any correspondence from candidates on this ground
  • There will be no refund of examination fee for erroneous, incomplete or rejected
