IB ACIO 2022 Application Process

IB ACIO 2022 application form for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-I/Executive, ACIO-II/ Executive, JIO-I/ Executive, JIO-II/Executive, Halwai-cum-Cook, Caretaker, and other posts has been released. The last date of application form is 60 days from the date of publication of the advertisement. Nomination for these posts are invited
for deputation, in certain posts which have provision for absorption or permanent transfer of service, the same will be considered based on merits and utility of performance of a deputationist.

Earlier, IB ACIO application form 2022 was released for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade 2/Technical on April 16. The last date to apply for the exam was May 7. The application fee was INR 100 and SC/ST/Female/Ex-Serviceman are exempted from fee payment.

IB ACIO 2022 application form for Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence (IB ACIO) Grade-II executive post is expected to be released in December. The examination fee is INR 100 and recruitment processing charges is INR 500. Male candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC categories are required to pay the exam fee as well as recruitment processing charges. However, SC/ST, female and ExSM candidates had to pay only the recruitment processing fees.

IB ACIO eligibility criteria is given below:

IB ACIO Eligibility for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-I/Executive 

Officers under the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Force should have the following eligibility:

Must have two years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment there to on a regular basis in level 7 (INR 44,900-1,42,400) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the
parent cadre or department 
Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent and two years' experience in security or intelligence work

IB ACIO Eligibility for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer-II/Executive

Graduation from a recognized university or equivalent with two years’ experience in security or intelligence work. It is desirable that candidates must have Knowledge of Computers.

IB ACIO Eligibility for Junior Intelligence Officer-I/Executive

Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence forces:
i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department, or
ii) With five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in level 4 (INR 25,500- 81,100) in the pay matrix or equivalent in the parent cadre or department

IB ACIO Eligibility Security Assistant/Executive

Officers of the Central Police Organizations or State Police Organizations or Defence Forces holding analogous post or eligible to hold analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre or department.

IB ACIO Eligibility Junior Intelligence Officer-I (Motor Transport)

Officers of the Central/ State Government/Central Police Organizations:
(i) Holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department, or
(ii) With five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of or equivalent in the parent cadre/department;
and
(b) Possessing valid heavy/commercial driving license issued by the competent authority

IB ACIO Eligibility for Junior Intelligence Officer-Grade-II (Motor Transport)

Officer of the Central/ State Government/ Central Police Organizations-
(a) (i) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/department.
(ii) with five years’ regular service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on regular basis in the scale of pay of INR 5200-20200 with grade pay of INR 2000 or equivalent in the parent cadre /department

IB ACIO Eligibility Security Assistant (Motor Transport) 

(i) Matriculation or equivalent
(ii) Possession of valid driving license for motor cars (LMV) issued by the competent authority.
(iii) Knowledge of motor mechanism (The candidate should be able to mend minor defects in the vehicle); and
(iv) Experience for driving a motor car for at least one year after obtaining valid driving license

IB ACIO Eligibility for Halwai Cum Cook

(i) 10th class pass with a certificate or diploma in catering, etc.
(ii) Experience: preferably 2 years in a Govt. Department or Undertaking and possessing the above qualification

IB ACIO Eligibility for Caretaker

(i) Any Group C employee of Intelligence Bureau with five years’ regular service in level 4 (INR 25500-81100) in the pay matrix; or
(ii) Employees of Central Government or the State Governments or Union territories holding analogous posts on regular basis in the parent cadre or department

IB ACIO Eligibility for Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Tech

(i) Diploma in Engineering in following fields: 
Electronics or Electronics and Tele-communication or Electronics and Communication or Electrical and Electronics or Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Applications from a Government recognized university or institute. or
(ii) Bachelor's Degree in Science with Electronics or Computer Science or Physics or Mathematics from a Government recognised university or institute. or
(iii) Bachelor's Degree in Computer Applications from a Government recognised university or institute.

IB ACIO Eligibility for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade 2/Technical

Candidates must possess Valid Gate Score 2020, 2021 & 2022 in Electronics & Communication or Computer Science & Information Technology or Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Computer Science & Engineering from a recognized University. or Masters Degree in Science with Electronics or Physics with Electronics or Electronics & Communication or Computer Science or Masters Degree in Computer Applications from a recognized University. 

IB ACIO Eligibility for Intelligence Bureau Assistant Central Intelligence (IB ACIO) Grade-II

  • Candidates must be a citizen of India
  • Candidates must have completed their graduation from any stream from a recognised university
  • Candidates must have knowledge of computers
  • Candidates should be between 18 and 27 years. The upper age limit is relaxed for candidates belonging to the following reserved categories:
  1. Relaxation of five years is given to candidates belonging to SC (Scheduled Caste) and ST (Scheduled Tribes) category
  2. Relaxation of three years is given to the candidates belonging to OBC (Other Backward Class)

The selection process of IB ACIO comprises the following stages:

Filling the application form

Candidates need to fill IB ACIO application form online. The examination fee is INR 100, and recruitment processing charges are INR 500. Male candidates belonging to General, EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay the exam fee as well as recruitment processing charges. Release of admit card

Candidates are issued IB ACIO admit card online separately for different stages of the recruitment process. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required login credentials.

Appearing in the entrance exam

IB ACIO exam comprises three tiers: I, II, and III. Tier I is an objective type paper divided into five parts. The test carries a total of 100 marks. To qualify the Tier I exam, candidates need to secure the required cutoff marks. The cutoff marks for the UR category are 35, while it is 34 for OBC/EWS candidates. IB ACIO cutoff marks for SC/ST candidates are 33. Candidates qualifying the Tier I exam are called for the Tier-II test. Tier II is a descriptive type test of 50 marks. On the basis of candidates' performance in the Tier I and II exam, shortlisting is done for the interview. The interview carries 100 marks.

Declaration of the result

The result for different stages are announced online. IB ACIO result is made available in PDF form and contains the roll numbers of qualified candidates. 

Final Selection

Final selection of candidates is done on the basis of performance in Tier I, II, and interview. Selected candidates need to undergo document verification and medical examination.

IB ACIO 2022 Exam Centres

 IB ACIO exam is conducted in more than 100 cities. Candidates are required to select three exam cities while filling the application form. The discretion to allot exam centres to candidates depends on the examination authority. Candidates cannot change IB ACIO exam centres allotted to them. Candidates who will opt for more than one exam centre will be rejected.

IB ACIO exam analysis highlights the overall difficulty level of the exam. The overall paper of IB ACIO 2021 exam was moderate in terms of difficulty level. The General Awareness and General Studies sections were easy to moderate while Quantitative Aptitude, Logical/Analytical Ability and English Language sections were easy. The test paper carried a total of 100 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted to the test are 100. The duration of the exam was one hour.

IB ACIO Salary for Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive

The pay scale of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer Grade-II/Executive in the Intelligence Bureau is between INR 44,900-INR 1,42,400 and Central Government allowance. Special security allowance at 20 per cent of basic pay in addition to other government allowances is given to selected candidates.
