SSC GD Constable 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released GD notification on December to fill up a total of 25487. The application form was released along with the notification. SSC GD Constable Exam 2026
SSC GD 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released SSC GD notification on December 1, 2025. The notification was released in PDF form. SSC GD official notification comprises the details related to the exam. SSC GD Constable online form was made available along with the notification. The last date to apply online for the SSC GD Constable Exam is December 31, 2025.
SSC GD Constable Exam will be conducted in February-April 2026. Through SSC GD recruitment, 25487 vacancies for the posts of Constable General Duty (GD), Rifleman GD, and Sepoy will be filled. Read below for more details on SSC GD Constable 2026 exam.
Candidates who have passed Class 10 exam or equivalent from a recognised board can apply for the SSC GD Vacancy. Candidates should be between 18 to 23 years of age to be eligible for the SSC GD Constable exam. The Commission can cancel the candidature of the candidate at any point if he or she do not conform to any of the eligibility condition. Candidates should go through the SSC GD Constable eligibility criteria carefully before applying online for the exam.
Candidates need to fulfill SSC GD physical eligibility in terms of height and weight to get shortlisted for appointment. The SSC GD height requirement is different for male and female candidates. The required SSC GD height for male is 170 cms. On the other hand, the SSC GD Physical height for female candidates is 157 cms. However, there is relaxation in SSC GE Height for SC/ST/others. The Staff Selection Commission issued the SSC GD Constable notification 2026 online. The SSC GD notification PDF contains eligibility conditions, application submission process, exam dates, syllabus, pattern, qualifying marks, selection process, vacancies, marks and scorecard.

SSC GD Weight Requirement: Candidates’ weight should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards.
The number of qualified candidates for the SSC GD physical test 2026 will be known through the declaration of the CBE result. The SSC GD result 2026 will be released containing the names and roll numbers of the shortlisted candidates for the PET/ PST (Physical) test. The shortlisted candidates will be called for the SSC GD PET/ PST exam conducted by the CRPF. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2026 will be released by the CRPF itself.

SSC GD 2026 Application Fee
The SSC GD application fee for 2026 is INR 100. However, women candidates, SC, ST and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.

The tentative number of SSC GD Constable 2026 vacancies were released along with the notification at ssc.gov.in. The SSC GD vacancies were announced post-wise and gender-wise for male and female candidates. The commission also released the state-wise SSC GD Vacancies for GD Constable and Rifleman in BSF, CISF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, SSF and Assam Rifles in each state or region.

The SSC GD Constable DV/ DME 2025 dates have not been announced yet. However, it is expected that the SSC GD medical exam will start in November 2025. The CRPF will soon announce the dates for the Constable DME exam after the declaration of PET/ PST result.

SSC GD Notifications
Candidates must be of minimum 18 years of age in order to be eligible for SSC GD exam. The upper SSC GD age limit is 23 years. However, the Commission provides a relaxation in the upper age limit for all the reserved categories such as OBC, SC, ST, ExS and others.
