SSC GD Constable 2026: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is conducting the SSC GD 2026 exam in four phases. The first phase exam is ongoing. It was started on April 27. The last SSC GD Constable Exam will be conducted on May 30. The authority released the SSC GD admit card on the official website at ssc.gov.in. It is mandatory by the candidate to carry the admit card to the examination centre. Without the hall ticket, candidate will not be allowed to sit in the exam. Earlier, the city slip was also released on April 19.
Further, the Commission cancelled the SSC GD exam 2026 at three centres on April 27 due to technical issues. The three centres are AMS Institute (Kolkata), Santiniketan Polytechnic (Durgapur) and Lala Lajpat Rai Memorial Polytechnic College, Moga (Punjab). The Commission previously issued a stern reminder to the candidates that discussing, analysing or sharing questions of the exam on the social media or messaging platforms is a serious offence.
The authority activated the window to edit SSC GD application form on January 8. The correction window is available till January 10. The window to fill the application form was closed on December 31. The application form was released on December 1. SSC GD official notification was released to fill up a total of 25487 vacancies.
SSC GD recruitment is conducted to fill up vacancies for the posts of Constable General Duty (GD), Rifleman GD, and Sepoy. The selection process comprises Computer-Based Exam (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Exam (DME)/ Document Verification (DV).
