The Staff Selection Commission has postponed the SSC GD exam 2026. It was slated to start on February 23 but was postponed. The Commission will release new dates soon on its website - ssc.gov.in.

The Staff Selection Commission conducted the SSC CGL 2025 Tier 1 exam online as a Computer-Based Exam (CBE) from September 12 to 26 at the designated exam centres. The SSC CGL 2025 applications were released on June 9, 2025.

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam 2025 was conducted at the designated exam centres.

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) Combined Higher Secondary Exam (CHSL) Tier 1 was conducted from November 12 to 30, 2025, across the nation. The Commission will release the result on its official website soon.

SSC MTS salary is one of the lowest among the Central Government Employees. The Central Government increased the Dearness Allowance of its employees to 50 % which was later further increased. The SSC CGL AAO (Assistant Audit Officer) salary ranges from INR 47,600 to 1,51,100 based on the pay level and city of posting. The Dearness Allowance is awarded based on the city of posting. 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) releases the SSC GD result after the completion of the assessment process. The SSC GD result is announced at ssc.gov.in. Along with the GD result, the commission announces the force-wise and category-wise GD Constable Cut Off. The SSC GD marks is also released. The SSC GD marks and score card contain the section-wise scores of candidates. The SSC GD result only contains the qualifying status, cut off marks and force-wise qualifying numbers.

The SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam is expected to be conducted in February-March 2026. The Staff Selection Commmission will conduct the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Tier 2 Exam at the designated exam centres. The candidates will get the information regarding the exam through their admit card only after the declaration of the Tier 1 results.

The SSC GD Physical Test 2025 was conducted from August 20 to September 12, 2025. The SSC GD Physical admit card 2025 for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) was released by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on August 8, 2025. The SSC GD PET/PST admit card was released around 10 days before the allotted exam date.

The Staff Selection Commission activated the SSC CGL 2025 online application link with the release of official notification at ssc.gov.in. The candidates are advised to read and understand the eligibility conditions and the important dates mentioned in the official SSC CGL notification 2025. The candidates will be required to check their eligibility and fill out the SSC CGL online applications on the official website - ssc.gov.in.

The last date to apply online for the SSC CGL 2025 was July 4, 2025. The SSC CGL 2025 application correction facility was available till July 11, 2025.

SSC GD recruitment is done in total eight forces. For the post of Constable (GD), the recruitment is done in Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Assam Rifles (AR), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF). For the post of Rifleman (GD), recruitment is done in Assam Rifles and Sepoy is posted in the NCB.
