SSC GD Medical Test 2026: DV/ DME Details
The SSC GD 2026 Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Document Verification (DV) is conducted after the PET/ PST round. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conductd the DV/ DME/ RME round for the candidates who cleared the Physical Test. Candidates’ physical and medical fitness will be examined under the SSC GD DME in terms of Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR.
During the SSC GD DV round, candidates need to provide the required documents at the CRPF centre. Candidates need to carry the following documents for the SSC GD DME/ DV round:
- Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate to prove age, name and educational qualification
- Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
- Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable

SSC GD Physical Eligibility: Weight Requirement
The physical standards of male and female candidates in terms of weight are also verified in the physical test. The weight of candidates should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards.
SSC GD Physical Test: Chest Measurement
The SSC GD PST tests the physical standards of male candidates in terms of chest measurement. There is no SSC GD chest measurement for female candidates. However, it is ascertained that the chest of female candidates is well developed, as per the official notification. Male candidates need to have the following chest measurements:

- Minimum expansion - 5 cm

SSC GD PET/ PST 2026: Post-wise Vacancies
The Staff Selection Commission released the number of tentative vacancies in the official notification. The service and state-wise vacancies were released separately on ssc.gov.in. The Commission mention the state-wise, force-wise and category-wise vacancies for the candidates. The Commission can change the number of vacancies anytime before the declaration of final result based on the requisitions received from various departments.
