SSC GD PET/ PST 2026: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), the nodal agency of the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), will release the exam date and admit card for the SSC GD medical test 2026 (DV/ DME) on the website- rect.crpf.gov.in. Candidates will be able to download the SSC GD medical admit card using their registration number or roll number and date of birth

The SSC GD 2026 PET/ PST or physical test result will be released onthe official website along with the merit list and cut off marks. The SSC GD physical result/ merit list 2026 PDF contains the names and roll numbers of candidates who will qualify the test. The SSC GD physical test is expected to be conducted in August/September 2026, to test the physical eligibility of candidates who cleared the CBE

The Staff Selection Commission is carrying out the recruitment of GD Constables to fill a total of 25487 vacancies. The SSC GD Constable exam process comprises three stages- Computer-Based Exam (CBE), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST) and Detailed Medical Exam/ Document Verification (DME/DV). The SSC GD exam was held online from April 27 to may 30, 2026. The SSC GD result of the CBE will be announced soon, along with the cut-off marks and merit list. Q:   What are the qualifying cut-off marks for SSC GD?

Candidates belonging to unreserved category need to secure minimum 30 per cent aggregate marks to qualify SSC GD exam. Have a look at the SSC GD qualifying cutoff percentage below:

  • General: 30 per cent
  • Other Backward Class (OBC)/ EWS: 25 per cent

SSC GD Medical Test 2026: DV/ DME Details

The SSC GD 2026 Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Document Verification (DV) is conducted after the PET/ PST round. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conductd the DV/ DME/ RME round for the candidates who cleared the Physical Test. Candidates’ physical and medical fitness will be examined under the SSC GD DME in terms of Uniform Guidelines for recruitment Medical Examination for GOs and NGOs in CAPFs and AR.

During the SSC GD DV round, candidates need to provide the required documents at the CRPF centre. Candidates need to carry the following documents for the SSC GD DME/ DV round:

  • Matriculation/ Secondary Examination Certificate to prove age, name and educational qualification
  • Domicile Certificate/ Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC)
  • Valid NCC Certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate from serving defence personnel
  • Undertaking from Ex-Servicemen candidates
  • Caste Certificate, if applicable
  • Certificate from candidates who wish to avail relaxation in height/ chest measurement
  • Certificate from District Collector/ District Magistrate in respect of dependent applicants of riot victims
  • Nativity/ Identity Certificate by West Pakistani Refugee

Yes, SSC GD cutoff is released separately for Computer Based Examination (CBE) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/ Physical Standard Test (PST).  The rest of the stages of SSC GD selection process are only qualifying in nature. The commission publishes the SSC GD Constable Cut Off Marks along with the result. The Staff Selection Commission publishes the SSC GD cut-off for each category for all states.

SSC GD Physical Centre List 2026

The CRPF will conduct the SSC GD PET, PST exam aprox 30 centres across India. Each SSC GD PET/ PST centre accommodates around 1500 candidates. The complete SSC GD physical test centre list will be provided here soon.

SSC GD PET/ PST Biometric Verification through RFID

The SSC GD PET/ PST 2026 will be conducted through RFID- Radio Frequency Identification. The SSC GD Physical biometric verification will be done at test centres. The biometric data will be captured by an RFID firm.

SSC GD Physical Eligibility: Weight Requirement

The physical standards of male and female candidates in terms of weight are also verified in the physical test. The weight of candidates should be proportionate to their height and age as per the medical standards.

SSC GD Physical Test: Chest Measurement

The SSC GD PST tests the physical standards of male candidates in terms of chest measurement. There is no SSC GD chest measurement for female candidates. However, it is ascertained that the chest of female candidates is well developed, as per the official notification. Male candidates need to have the following chest measurements:

  • Un-expanded Chest - 80 cms
  • Minimum expansion - 5 cm

However, the Commission provides the relaxations in chest measurement for reserved category candidates as follows:

SSC GD PET/ PST 2026: Post-wise Vacancies

The Staff Selection Commission released the number of tentative vacancies in the official notification. The service and state-wise vacancies were released separately on ssc.gov.in. The Commission mention the state-wise, force-wise and category-wise vacancies for the candidates. The Commission can change the number of vacancies anytime before the declaration of final result based on the requisitions received from various departments.
