The candidates who will appear in the TNPSC Group-2 prelims exam is scheduled to be conducted on May 21. The candidates can follow the following tips to score better in the exam.

Revision

Revision is the most ignored aspect in the preparation. The candidates must revise the study material, which they have studied so far. It is not advisable to read new things at the eleventh hour. The candidates must write the important points which can shorten their revision time. The candidates must learn to revise fast to cover the whole study material in time.

Practice

The candidates must practice with the previous year's TNPSC Group 2 question papers and the mock tests released by the commission. Practising with the old question papers will provide a clear idea about the topics which are important and which aspects of the topics can be asked in the paper.

Time Management

This is the most important aspect which is often overlooked by most candidates. First, the candidates should understand that there is only two hours-time to read, understand and mark the correct answer on the OMR sheet. The paper also includes aptitude questions, so they need to solve those questions also within the stipulated time.

200 questions need to be answered in three hours. It implies that the time assigned for each question should be (200/180) minutes which comes to 1.11 minutes for each question. Reading Question

The candidates must read the question twice before answering the question. Sometimes the candidates miss the ‘not’ word given in the question and mark the answer accordingly. The candidates must read the question patiently before answering the question. Reading and the right interpretation of the question are essential for marking the correct answer.

Answer Marking Technique

Candidates must mark the answer simultaneously while solving the question paper. The candidates should not wait till the end to mark the answer in one go. The candidates can fix the time interval to mark the answers, such as after every ten minutes, the candidates must mark the answers or after every two pages, the candidates must mark their answers.
