Overall it's worth it to join.

Placements: 40-50 percent of the students got placed. The highest package is 8 LPA-9 LPA and the lowest is 2 LPA-3 LPA. The average package is 4 LPA-5 LPA. EY, KGM, TCM, and Deloitte. 30 to 40 percent of students got internships. Roles offered are financial analyst, business analyst, and teaching.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is quite good. Most of the classes have ACs and projectors. The department has labs, a library, and Wi-Fi. I stay in PG so I can't tell anything about the hostel. Medical facilities are just fine. Students don't get time for sports and games.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful and knowledgeable although it can vary from teacher to teacher. It prepares base for higher studies. It's not sufficient for industry. Internships are required for it. If you're keeping up with the syllabus, it's not that difficult, however it's mathematics, so you need to prepare well for the exams even if you want to merely pass it.

Other: I have a deep interest in mathematics. It's building my base for higher studies and industry exposure. Events and fests are okay. The campus crowd is quite nice, connectivity is convenient, and there are plenty of societies for extracurricular activities.

Good infrastructure and decent faculty.

Placements: The percentage of students who get placement in my course is pretty decent but it is also a very valuable course. The highest package is around 23.5 LPA and the lowest package is 5 LPA-6 LPA. The average package is 7 LPA-8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Deloitte, Brain and Company, United Airlines, ICICI Bank, etc. Very few students in my course do internships or get one. The top roles offered are data analyst, financial analyst, and statistician.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Hansraj College is very good as compared to other colleges of Delhi University as it's tier-1 college of Delhi University. Every class and seminar room has air-conditioners. The library is very good. Every kind of book is available. The canteen is pretty decent with a variety of food options and the prices are also low. The hostel facilities are decent. The infrastructure is good and the mess food is acceptable in many ways.

Faculty: The faculty of Hansraj College is pretty good. They are very experienced teachers and well qualified. Also they always support the students and involve practical learning in their lessons. The course curriculum is relevant and helps in making the student ready for practical and real-life work experience with accurate knowledge. The semester exams are very moderate.

Other: The events and fests are not that good every time. The administration doesn't allow it, and sometimes a nuisance happens.

A simple view dedicated to Hansraj College.

Placements: My batch consists of 100 students currently, of whom most are dedicated to data research and visualization. Usually, average placement consists of 6-7 LPA, but seeing the results of the previous year, the highest package was given to someone from Mathematics Hons, and the package was 25 LPA.

Infrastructure: Considering all sectors of student development, Hansraj has a very well-defined infrastructure for Science students and others, too. It also ranked NIRF 1 in sciences as the best college. But on the other hand, the hostel has undergone for the building, which is a major factor in giving it a 4-star rating right now. Cafeteria, canteens, library, and public area are some of the most well-defined and best in the whole of Delhi University. The hostel is currently under construction and available for use. Famous hangout places include Mitti cafe, Lovers Point, the sports ground, etc.

Faculty: I am not sure about faculty to student ratio, but it is very clear that the number of students studying in Hansraj is way more than its capacity. There is no faculty that I like or dislike personally, all are doing well in their positions. Semester exams are usually easy, students can analyse what kind of questions could be coming.

Hansraj College, DU is the best in academics.

Placements: The best thing about Mathematics (Hons.) is that there are very few students, and therefore percentage-wise, our branch is perhaps the best. Mass placements and top placements go to B. Com (Hons.) students, but our branch is definitely the second best after them. Overall, 60–65 percent of students who sit for campus placements are placed through the campus placement drive.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure isn’t that great. Even though all the classrooms have ACs, half of the time they remain non-operational, even during summers. The library is huge, but just like the campus, it always looks crowded due to the large population at Hansraj College. The buildings are good, but sports facilities are limited and have numerous restrictions as well.

Faculty: The faculty members are highly qualified, and their teaching style has also upgraded with time. The only issue is that our course does not have much relevance to industry demand. Also, our course does not provide industrial visits or training, and this is where societies come into play. Through societies, one can get live industry projects and become industry-ready.

Other: I am absolutely brilliant in Maths, and that is the main reason for choosing this course. We have four to five canteens, and the meal station is my favourite. Our annual fest, Confluence, is near, and all students are gearing up for it.

Hansraj College is really worth the hype.

Placements: In my college, placements mostly happen for the B.Com (Hons) department, and B.Com is considered the most prestigious department. Apart from that, every department is worthless or not worthy enough. Only Commerce students get placement, or those from Economics Honours.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, like the labs are well-maintained and furnished, with a good environment. They take concern for cleanliness. The library is good, but the main issue is that the campus is quite small. They don't open the garden for students, don't know why, I mean, at least they should open it.

Faculty: The teachers are good, but some teachers are even bad, you can't expect professors to be as supportive as school teachers. I mean, it's not that good, not that bad, it's kind of average. Also, you have to maintain 67% attendance anyhow, so I hate this rule to be honest.

Other: Now, coming to fests, they are disappointing. When we used to attend fests in other colleges, we wouldn't even realize when the fun started. But here, they just did a Diwali mela in the LP and called it a fest.

Hansraj College - North campus, is it worth the hype?

Placements: Hi, I am a 1st-year student at Hansraj College (graduation in the year 2027) pursuing B.Sc. (H) mathematics, my knowledge is in accordance with the information from my seniors about this year's placements. In mathematics, the highest I have heard (as of March, 2025) is around 13 LPA. The lowest salary is around 5 LPA. The minimum package that can be offered at Hansraj is 4 LPA only. The placements are 100% or not sure in case some companies require a mandatory 7 CGPA to sit for their placement interviews.

Infrastructure: All the prerequisites are available, good computer labs, good wet labs, a big playground, with virtually all sports items, and a botanical garden. We also have a butterfly conservatory and seminar halls. Most of the classrooms are fitted with ACs. There is a very good library and all labs are fitted with Wi-Fi. Hostel is only available for students not from Delhi-NCR. It has a reading room, a common room, 2 lawns, and good food three times a day. Hostel has its own tournaments from time to time in sports. As a hostel president, you get a WUS health card.

Faculty: Teachers here are indeed very helpful, as they are meant to be, well-qualified, eminent, and men and women of letters. You might find some professor's pedagogy not that good but believe me if you put in the effort, most of them are extremely good. The course is definitely relevant. It has subjects that involve excel and programming in mathematics, also you can take good electives courses of your choice, like python, and states with R, to be industry-ready. We are also taught computer graphics. Semester exams are not that difficult, and I am not aware of the passing percentage.

Other: I chose mathematics, because it is the only subject I know. The best things about my course are already aforesaid in the placements and faculty section. I am not qualified enough to suggest any infusions in the course. The events I would say are decent, however not the par with the ones at Hindu and SRCC.

Hansraj College - My college life and experience for future students.

Placements: Above 80% of students got placed. The highest salary is 30 LPA. The lowest salary is 3 LPA, and the average salary is 7 LPA. Recruiting companies are TCS Innovation Lab, Intel, Qualcomm, Wipro, Cognizant, Amazon, and major financial institutions within the BFSI sector. Above 50% of students got internships in companies like Deloitte and TCS. Roles offered are data analytics, actuarial science, quantitative finance, and operation research analysis.

Infrastructure: College infrastructure is excellent. We have AC in every classroom. The library is also excellent and the Wi-Fi is always working. The lab is also very good installed. The mess and hotel are very good. The environment is also very nice here. The quality of food is sometimes like good and even best and sometimes even worse. Medical facilities are very good on the campus. The sports also have a great infrastructure and every year Khelo Hansraj is celebrated in our college.

Faculty: Faculty members are good to better. They are very helpful and kind. The admin block is also very helpful as they will help you in any trouble. The teaching staff of our course is very nice and helpful. Semester exams are easy to moderate and sometimes hard also.

Other: As per my point of view, the college is very good for the people in my course and for other courses also may be. For me, it is a great experience and I enjoyed its campus and fests.

Our college has experienced teachers.

Placements: 20% of students get placed in my course. But mainly in my course, there are UPSC aspirants or research aspirants. The ratio of seating in placements is very low in my course. But if we talk about the B.Com H course, then a minimum of 45% get placed. As the news is out, and still, the placement season is going on. In my course, the highest package is 14 LPA Tier 1, and the lowest package is 3.5 LPA Tier 3. The average package varies within 8-9 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ZS, Brain, Future First, DE SHAW, etc., are top companies. In college, the internship cell is not so good as the placement cell. Overall, 40% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college, where my classes are held, is good in seating and in labs, and computers are properly working. All ACs are in good condition and work in the summer time, even in classes. Whereas the food quality of the mess and canteen is 6/10. Some food tastes good, but some food items are not. In the hostel, the facility of living is good. Washrooms of the college and hostel both are cleaned on a daily basis. Medical facility is also good as there is a proper separate room for it, and students can go there if needed. Games are held, and even there is a society for it.

Faculty: Teachers are highly knowledgeable and qualified too, as most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D., and they teach every student at their best with the help of PPTs, videos, or some relatable data. Due to NEP, even this course curriculum is relevant and makes students ready in their respective fields. The level of conducting semester exams is moderate, and most of students get an average of 8 CGPA. The passing percentage is very high, a minimum of 98% passing in semester exams, and the internal marks given by teachers are commendable.

Other: I choose this course to master in Maths and give competitive exams like IIT JAM for pursuing a master's. Even my seniors get admission in IIT Kharagpur or many more big IITs, and one of my seniors gets AIR 58 in this exam. I suggest just giving more options for studying subjects related to Maths theory and practical, so that students can choose their line wisely. In my college, CONFLUENCE is the fest, and good singers like Akhil Sachdeva in the previous year have come. This year, some other one is planning to come. Scholarships are provided by Dell to Science students.

Interested candidates have to register online with required information. Non-refundable online registration fee is a mandate without which candidate’s application would not be considered for further processing. Final Selection

BBA in Finance is the Basic foundation subject that you'll study in your MBA, but in B.Sc, you'll learn about science subjects. Whereas, in BBA you'll not study science subjects that's the only difference. Both can land you up in doing MBA.

Dear Ashi, Congratulations for this. Your marks is good. However for maths honors in Hansraj you should wait for 3rd or 4th cutoff. As last year, the cutoff for Maths honors at Hansraj was 98% or 97% in the first list. But your chances are high that you may get. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

Yes, of course it is only the board percentage which will be considered for the admission process. Apply online on DU official site and wait for the cut-off list.
