To get admission to NDA Pune, students must pass Class 12 as per the required eligibility. After that, aspiring candidates have to register on the official website of UPSC and appear for the NDA Entrance exam. The final selection is done with a personal interview and a mandatory medical examination. The college runs its admission cycle twice a year in two sessions, i.e., NDA- 1 and NDA- 2. 

To join NDA, candidates must give the entrance test of the NDA which is held twice in a year (NDA-I and NDA-II). NDA is the joint training institute for all three services-Army, Navy and Air Force. After joining the NDA cadet undergo training for three years. After graduating from NDA candidates are sent to their respective training academies for one year of training before commissioning. Army cadets are sent to the Indian Military Academy (Dehradun), naval cadets to the Indian Naval Academy (Ezhimala), and Air Force cadets to the Air Force Academy (Dundigal, Hyderabad).
