RIE CEE Sections and Important Topics
RIE CEE conducts separate question papers for Groups A, B, and C, with each group designed to assess candidates’ subject knowledge and aptitude according to their selected programme. Group A evaluates knowledge based on the higher secondary level, while Group B focuses on concepts covered during graduation. Regional Institute of Education is a government college for educational courses. The RIEs can be found in Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Mysuru, Jhajjar, Shillong, and Ajmer.
General candidates often need 60-70% marks (or higher in RIE CEE) and OBC/SC/ST candidates need progressively lower marks.
- Candidates with at least 50% marks in either in the Bachelor's Degree and/or in the Master's degree in Sciences/Social Sciences/Humanity
- Bachelor's in Engineering or Technology with specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or in any other qualification equivalent thereto, are eligible for admission to the programme
- relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates.

RIE CEE Syllabus hasn't been revised until now. The last was made in 2024. For 2027, it is expected to remain the same as previous year.
At least 50% in qualifying exam (relaxable to 45% for reserved categories) is required to be eligible to sit for exam. RIE CEE qualifying marks will be based on weightage formula that includes 60% weightage to RIE CEE exam score and 40% weightage to qualifying exam marks
