RIE CEE Criteria for Calculating Scores/ Results
Selection process followed by RIEs is explained below:
For BSc BEd, BA BEd, MSc Ed, BEd, and MEd courses, 60% weightage is given to entrance exam marks and 40% to aggregate scores. The method of calculating aggregate scores varies for each course — BSc BEd and MSc Ed, BA BEd, BEd, and MEd. Details about this are provided in the “Aggregate Score Definition” section.
If two or more candidates get the same total marks, the tie will be resolved using the Teaching Aptitude Test scores. If the tie still remains, preference will be given to the older candidate. The merit list will display marks up to three decimal places, rounded off.
As per the official prospectus, RIEs will reserve one additional seat each for BSc BEd and BA BEd courses. RIE Mysore will also reserve one extra seat each for MSc Ed (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) for NTSE award winners.
