AKTU BArch Eligibility & Highlights 2024
BArch is a five-year course offered by AKTU and admissions to this course at AKTU are based on NATA scores. There is no upper age limit but candidates need to be at least 16 years of age as of December 31 of the current academic year to pursue this course. Yes, candidates seeking admission to DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University undergraduate and postgraduate courses must have appeared for the CUET-UG and CUET-PG entrance exams, respectively. AKTU will not admit students who do not a valid CUET score. NTA usually releases CUET result in July. CUET UG Counselling is held and conducted separately by the participating institutes. AKTU is a state-level, public collegiate university. Formerly known as Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), it is a University of National Importance, specially for the UG and PG courses offered in the field of Engineering and Science. AKTU is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Coming to the AKTU placements, the university has not released the placement report for the year 2023. However, as per media reports, 1,531 students were selected in TCS. A total of 318 students were placed with a package of INR 7.60 LPA in TCS Digital and rest 1,213 students were placed with a package of INR 3.60 LPA in TCS Ninja during AKTU placement 2023.
AKTU cutoff for BTech is based on All india Quota and Home State Quota. For the Home State Quota, AKTU offers admission to B.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering and B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning) through KEAM followed by Counselling. Students enrolled in AKTU get access to register themselves for AKTU fee-waiver scholarship schemes through the scheme of the Scholarship & Fee Reimbursement Online System of UP State. AKTU Fee-waiver Scholarship Schemes Eligibility Candidates must be enrolled in UG course at any of AKTU-affiliated colleges Candidates should be from SC, ST, or OBC category The family income of the candidate should not be more than INR 1 Lacs per annum In addition to this, AKTU Scholarship is entitled to provide financial assistance to its MTech students.
To be eligible for this Stipend, only one condition is there. He or she must have qualified for the GATE entrance exam. Candidates enrolled in the Ph.D. programme at AKTU on a regular basis are eligible for a monthly stipend of INR 31,000 from MHRD for the first two years of the programme and a monthly stipend of INR 35,000 for the next three years of the course of study; after completing five years, if students are still working on their Doctoral degree, then they are provided monthly financial assistance of INR 12,000 for only one year. Ph.D. scholars are eligible for Stipend only if they have qualified for national-level entrance examinations such as UGC/ CSIR NET (JRF) examination, SET, GATE (with a valid score), or Teacher Research Fellowship.

DR. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University is expected to conduct a total of six rounds for CUET-UG-qualified candidates. However, the cutoff rounds are conducted as per seat availability. If seats are available after AKTU round six of the counselling process, the University will release the special round to fulfil their vacant seats.
Aspirants need to pay an application fee to apply for CUET for AKTU admission. Candidates need to pay fee via any of the online payment modes. Below is the application fee for CUET:

After the JEE Main session 2 result announced, candidates need to first head on to official JEE Main website to know the performance in terms of rank and marks on the portal. You further need to download the scorecard to assess your performance. The needed details to log in are application number and birth date. Apart checking scorecard and rank, they need to check out their qualifying status. Based on your results, you then have to make up your mind to prepare for JEE Advanced or not to get into the IITs. Moreover, the candidates who qualify the JEE Main exam will be allowed to sit for the counselling rounds of NITs, IIITs, and other participating institutes. While applying for the counselling, candidates must have to ensure that all the necessary documents are ready to be submitted. And, at last they have to regularly check and track the important dates regarding the counselling rounds or JEE Advanced exam timeline to avoid any rush at the end of a counselling round.
AKTU releases its cutoff through its affiliated colleges. The last round closing scores for different colleges varied between 435 and 17104 if you belong to the General AI category. Therefore, it is possible to get admission at any affiliated college of the university at 20000 rank. The top colleges could be Fort Institute of Technology, R. D. Engineering College Technical Campus and Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, with the last round closing score of 17104, 16842 and 16384, respectively.

The colleges affiliated to AKTU accepts IPUCET exam for admission to UG and PG courses. The basic criteria to get into AKTU through IPUCET exam is to have a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in class 12 and for PG courses, the minimum aggregate 50% marks in Bachelor's Degree. So, if you are securing a percentile of 72 in class 12th, it is more than enough to appear for IPUCET to get into AKTU.
AKTU releases cutoff through its affiliated colleges. At 15000 score, it is possible to get admission to a few colleges including R. D. Engineering College Technical Campus, for which the last round closing score was 16842 for the General AI category candidates. Other best college at this score could be Shri Ramswaroop Memorial College of Engineering and Management, with last round closing score of 16384. Technical Education and Research Institute (TERI, Ghazipur) could also be considered which had the last round closing score of 15844.
