Assam University offers over 86 UG, PG, diploma, doctoral, and certificate programmes in various fields, such as Engineering, Arts, Science, and Commerce, and for admission in many of the courses and specialisation there are specific entrance exams such as CUET-UG for admission in UG courses, CUET-PG for admission in PG course, JEE-Main for admission in BTech course.

Assam University provides a 2-year full-time Master of Business Administration (MBA) course. The programme aims to equip the students with comprehensive skills and in-depth understanding of the theory and practice of real-life-management within a multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural setting. The specific objectives of the MBA programme are to enable the graduates to:

Assam University provides admission to its MBA programme through Jawaharlal Nehru School of Management (JNSM). The university accepts admission through national-level entrance examinations such as CAT/ CMAT/CUCET.

No, candidates are not allowed to get direct admission to the BPharm course at Assam University. To be eligible for admission, candidates must ensure that they score a decent score in the CUET-UG. Moreover, candidates who did not achieve a valid score in CUET-UG can get admission to the BPharm course with a merit list which is evaluated on the basis of candidates' scores in Class 12. 

Assam University accepts the scores of CUET-UG scores for admission to the BPharm course. Moreover, before appearing in the entrance exam candidates must complete their Class 12 from the Science stream including both PCB/ PCM. Additionally, they must have at least an aggregate of 50%. The pharmaceutical Science department adopted the PCI norms and syllabus for the BPharm curriculum.
