I am extremely satisfied by the faculty and overall the college is better than new IITs.
Placements: I'm still not sure about the placements, but few things I know that we got 100% placements for the 2019 batch and one of the student from our branch was the highest package holder for the in-campus placements. Top recruiting companies were like Oracle, mercedes, Schlumberger etc.
Infrastructure: The quality of the facility in hostels are extremely good. College has high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity and the classroom are equipped with ACs. We have an all night canteen that is working in late night. Every hostel has its own small play area and rooms for indoor sports.
Faculty: The teachers are well qualified and did their graduation and post graduation from IIT and mit. I can't tell much about this because I haven't talked to my core branch faculty. The course curriculum is relevant .
Other: Our cultural fest is one of the best fest in India. This fest is managed by tremendous efforts and huge investment. Bits do offer scholarships and offers curricular activities. College life is one of things that at par level as compared to other colleges.

Glad to have spent the best 4 years of my life at BITS Pilani.
Placements: BITS Pilani has always focused on a high degree of industry connect. It offers stellar placements across core engineering and non-engineering profiles such as finance, consulting, data analytics, IT etc. A significant number of students also receive pre-placement offers through the practice school (PS) internship programme. More than 95% students were placed from the course. Top companies recruiting for full-time and internship offers included Oracle, Amazon, PwC, Flipkart, Schneider Electric etc. Offering a variety of profiles such as Consultant, Business Analyst, Software developer, product management and operations. An estimate of the average CTC would be 12+ LPA (approximately. ). .
Infrastructure: The institute has a world class infrastructure with fully equipped labs, classrooms, lecture halls and library. The New Academic Building (NAB) has state-of-the-art infrastructure for carrying out large-scale conferences along with the regular teaching activities. The messes are large in size and provide good quality food, which is better than that in most other comparable institutes. Besides this, there is an All-night Canteen (ANC). A medical center is also available on campus. Student's Activity Centre (SAC) provides the facilities for indoor sports and houses a gym. For outdoor sports, gym grounds (Gym-G) are available in the campus.
Faculty: BITS provides a flexible curriculum which includes a great variety of disciplinary and cross-functional electives. Students can enroll themselves in many interesting electives from the domains of finance, social Science, economics, business management, philosophy, psychology etc. Besides their regular engineering courses. This provides them with a holistic knowledge and development. Most of the courses are taught by the professors who are among the best in India in their respective fields. Students also have the freedom and responsibility of choosing their own timetables and professors.
Other: Campus fests are very exciting. The cultural fest is Oasis, sports fest is BOSM and the international technical festival is APOGEE. All of them witness a very high participation.

The infrastructure and facilities of our college are great.
Placements: The placement record of the whole campus has been commendable with more than 90% of people attending the placements got placed in many reputed firms with a great package. For particular branch I. e manufacturing, the placement records are decent.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with state of the art equipment that plays a crucial role in better learning and understanding. Also, the library provides us with 5-star facilities like A/C reading rooms and also supplements us with books of all genres and subjects. The hostel rooms are also excellent.
Faculty: Majority of our faculty members are graduates of Ivy League schools like the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. They have extensive knowledge of the subject they teach, and also the professors are very helpful and friendly. The course covered is extensive, and it also offers us with many electives that supplement our learning.

Great college with the exception of a slow internet connection and placements.
Placements: Placements haven't been great in recent times for BITS Pilani and have dropped drastically in recent years. But our Placement unit has been working very hard to bring up the levels. Most of the students opt for a higher degree in foreign universities than sitting for placements. Nonetheless, all the top companies visit our campus for placements. The highest package offered this time was around 60 Lacs per annum in IT sector and the lowest was around 4 Lacs per annum for in civil core.
Infrastructure: The campus has a great infrastructure with regularly maintained hostels. The LAN/Wi-Fi is slightly slow but you can always visit the IPC lab for faster internet. You have a facility to play any of the common sports: Cricket, Football, Tennis, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball etc. We have a huge library with a diversity of books. But the medical facilities aren't that great with a small medical centre.
Faculty: As of now, I feel our courses have been great with exposure given to all sectors in the first year. As of what I've heard from the seniors, this is the best college for Manufacturing Engineering. The 0% attendance policy will help students a let as it will encourage them to try things out on their own.
Other: OASIS, the cultural fest of BITS Pilani is the second largest college fest in India and a lot of people from in around the country attend it. The campus has recently increased the number of seats in the college and around 100 students join every year. The campus is located in a small town in Rajasthan and has a very natural feel.

BITS Pilani is the phenomena.
Placements: The placements have been consistently excellent at BITS Pilani, especially for computer science with the average package for a CS graduate hovering around anywhere from 12-15 lacs per annum. All the students get placed in the final placements with one or two exceptions. There is a separate placement cell, which takes care of the whole placement process. For the internships, almost everyone gets a summer internship in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure on the campus is again exceptional. The campus has 15 departments, a huge library as well as a Birla Mandir dedicated to Goddess Saraswati. The college is well-equipped with the latest lab equipment and technology. All the classrooms are the projector enabled and have the high-quality infrastructure.
Faculty: The faculty members of all the departments are renowned in their respective fields. Most of the faculty members hold the doctoral degrees and have published a list of papers and journals. Most of the faculty members from the institute have collaborated with the government and also the industry for theoretical as well as applied research.

The college is the best for computer science, but the rest is decent.
Placements: The placements are good only computer science people, and for the other branches, the placements are a few. Most of the other branch people take up either finance or try to sit for computer science jobs by doing a few courses. Some of them write GATE and get placed in PSUs. The students run the placements division.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is the only best thing the BITS can brag about. They have good Wi-Fi enabled academic block, the library, and the classrooms are fully air-conditioned. The bigger halls have a facility for recording the lectures, which can be seen later on. There is no compulsory attendance at BITS.
Faculty: The faculty members are one of the added advantages of BITS. The faculty, who have done their masters and PhD in the reputed institutions of the world. The research culture is decent in BITS but not that great as compared to the foreign colleges, and this thing needs the improvement in not only for BITS but in India.

The best place from where you could be a graduate.
Placements: Both mechanical and manufacturing students are eligible for all core mechanical and non-core consultancy firms. The average number of openings in each company were around 4-5 GET (graduate engineering trainee). The stats of our batch mechanical and manufacturing students were 45% pre-placement offers. Around, 25% of the students got placed on-campus in the core companies, and 20% in the non-core companies and 8% of the students got into the higher education. The average salary was around 5.5-6.5 LPA. The PPO offering companies like Tata Motors, Anand Group, JSW, Skoda, etc., visited the campus. The companies like Grey Orange, Schlumberger, a few government projects in Gujarat, Reliance Industries, etc., also visited the campus for the placements.
Infrastructure: The whole infrastructure is upgraded to modern A/C lecture halls. The workshop is under construction and will be in the first class A/C workshop. All the grounds are well-maintained and open to all students to use the facilities like swimming pool, tennis court, gym, etc. Sodexo catering services are doing a great job in assuring the quality of food both in the mess and canteens and keeping the standards high as always. Our batch faced most of the construction episode of the college, so cannot make any comments on the infrastructure during my tenure.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful and friendly with the students. Most of the BITsians enjoy doing the study oriented projects(SOP), and this relationship helps while requesting recommendation when we apply for the higher studies. Each course has many tutors and we get help from the ME students, so reaching a faculty was not a big deal. The course structure was well-designed regarding the subjects selection and the course material(authors to follow, books, reference books). Many extra workshops were held to learn and enjoy the vivid skills.
Other: The college organises three beautiful fests like BOSM (BITS open sports meet), OASIS (cultural fest), and APOGEE (tech fest). All the fest has the 60 hours of activities and fun with the participants from all over the country.

Placements are only good for CS branch not for every branch.
Placements: The placements vary slightly each year. Talking about manufacturing engineering, the placements in core field were around 47% (average salary 6.5 LPA) while rest of the students got placed in finance, IT and consultancy. More and more students get placed in CS each year, even from non CS branches. Average placements for CS is around 18 LPA. So basically, placements in CS and IT are among the best in the country.
Infrastructure: All the classes, labs and library are very good. Although, the newer classes are in a different league altogether. Slowly, all the buildings are being renovated. The campus itself is one of the most beautiful campuses in the country. The New Academic Block (NAB) building is a sight to behold. The open air round auditorium - 'Rotunda', right next to the NAB, is a location you'll find in no other college. It is simply mesmerizing. The newer hostels are Wi-Fi enabled and the rooms are really good. Medical facilities and sports are all fine too. Just what you'd expect from a top college. By the way, the tennis court is synthetic. I wouldn't really say I faced any problem with the infrastructure. Although I must say, with the advent of Wi-Fi in new hostels, the LAN sharing in the campus sure took a hit.
Faculty: The faculty members are all decent. I believe it is a matter of dedication on a student's part. No faculty member would ever deny you a discussion, be it in the class or in their office. They always encourage us to discuss more. There is no compulsory attendance required. That's a signature BITSian policy. So quite a lot of students don't really attend classes. There are regular tests in the classes, surprise or announced, depending on the course and the instructor. BITS gives students a lot of independence in choosing their own time tables and selecting disciplinary, humanities and open electives from a large pool of courses. That's the best thing about its curriculum. One can actually take courses from another branch as open electives.
Other: One thing to consider is the high tuition fees. Another is the isolated nature of the location. Pilani is a small town. There isn't even a railway station here. So, forget about malls, movie theaters, cafes, shopping complexes and the rest. There's really not much outside the campus and everything you need is already available inside. Also, a lot of students are misinformed about the placement statistics. Yes, the CS placements here are worth bragging. But other departments aren't anywhere near it.
