BITS Pilani is an excellent college.

Placements: Our batch placements were almost 100% in core VLSI companies like Intel, Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, Cypress, etc. Our senior batch students were also fully placed in core companies. The highest salary package offered was around 19 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was around 10 LPA. The average salary package offered was around 15 LPA. Roles offered to us were related to frontend and backed VLSI work. Everyone got internships in 4th semester, with the highest stipend being Rs. 35,000, and the lowest being Rs. 20,000, with an average stipend of around Rs. 25,000. BITS has a dedicated placement unit for higher degree students, and it strives hard to ensure the everyone is placed at the beginning of 3rd semester itself.

Infrastructure: VLSI department has Oysters lab (popularly known as O-lab) which provides access to industry compatible Cadence and Synopsys tools to work on. WLAN has excellent speed. BITS library has up-to-date books, magazines, research papers, thesis and an excellent environment to study. The newly built buildings have modern classrooms with air-conditioners, projector, mics, etc. BITS encourage sports activities and annually organise BOSM in which 100s of students across the country participate in the sports event. Hostel rooms are good for the newly built hostels only. Old hostels have not that good rooms. Many infrastructural changes are going on in BITS to make it a world-class institute.

Faculty: Professors here are well qualified, quite helpful, and encourage practical aspects of the theories. Blackboard and PPTs are used for teaching. The student to faculty ratio is around 20:1. O-Lab experiments provided us with much-required industry exposure. The course curriculum is designed very well, and it is up-to-date.

Other: BITS organises several events going on in the form of group activities, etc. The campus crowd is very good. BITS is located in a remote village Pilani, where the only connectivity is via road. The nearest station is about 20 km away.

Everything about BITS, Pilani.

Placements: The previous statistics show 100% placement for this branch, but from 2017, they increased the batch strength, so we can't say about placements for current batch. Still, there is an option of practice school where you have the option of converting the internships. Rest all depends on your luck and CGPA.

Infrastructure: The college has one the best infrastructures you will find in an engineering college in India. It has one of the largest libraries in India. You will find every book you want. The hostels are decent enough, but the worst thing is that you have to fight with the weather here, as it is extreme in all seasons.

Faculty: The faculty are decent. They are able to clear your basics, but afterwards, you need to dig yourselves, and BITS library will certainly help you for this. The course structure is such that it forces you to study, and to do lab assignment and project which will make you learn things.

Other: Cultural events includes Oasis, India's 2nd largest cultural event in engineering domain. Practice school helps you to get industrial knowledge.
