It is one of the best universities in the country.
Placements: Almost 80% of students got placed in different good firms with good salary packages. Our institute is the top institute that offers top placements in the meteorology department.
Infrastructure: Our college provides us with all facilities. The library has a vast collection of books for research. It includes many theses, dissertations, journals, and reference books. Our college provides free Wi-Fi connection to all students. Lab provides computers for each student. The food served in the mess and canteen is average.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified, knowledgeable, and responsible. They have good teaching skills. They convey the concept with the help of technical support like presentation, projector, etc. The course curriculum is relevant and it makes students industry-ready.
Other: I opted for this course because, in the present scenario, the change and effect of climate are very important. Our course provides good job opportunities. Our college has a good atmosphere.

It is a suitable course for the students who want to research in applied physics.
Placements: The college offers placements in Indian Meteorological Department, Indian Air Force, and other research institutes. The college provides few placement opportunities. Most of the students do research work after this course. Currently, the college is not providing any placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Department of atmospheric sciences has well-established classrooms, instruments, computer lab, servers, etc. The department has an advanced ST Radar facility which can measure vertical wind speed, and the students can do internships and project work on this. The college provides high-speed Wi-Fi facility for free of cost. All kinds of books are available in the library. Every year, extracurricular activities such as sports and games are conducted.
Faculty: The faculty members including associate and assistant professors in the department are highly experienced. They are very helpful, supportive, and approachable. 50% of the marks come from the internal assessment and rest 50% marks come from the final examination. Students have to get 72 credits to complete their course.
Other: LEAF, Onam, etc., are the major events that are conducted on the campus. Department of atmospheric sciences was located on the lakeside campus of CUSAT.

CUSAT admission to Integrated BSc-MSc programme is based on CUSAT CAT score. CUSAT CAT or Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test is a computer-based test conducted for shortlisting aspirants for admission to various courses. After completion of selection rounds, CUSAT releases a rank list based on total marks secured in Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry subjects. A separate rank list is released for selected Integrated BSc-MSc specialisation. Based on the rank list, aspirants are called for counselling and document verification round.

A: 

Yes, CUSAT conducts Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test for providing admission to Integrated BSc-MSc courses. Based on CUSAT CAT result, rank list is prepared after completion of CUSAT CAT. The CUSAT CAT examination is a computer-based test (CBT) test conducted for a duration of 3 hours. The syllabus of CUSAT CAT includes chapters and topics of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics that are relevant from the examination point of view. CUSAT CAT syllabus is of Class 11 and Class 12 standard.

    Hi, Cochin University of Science and Technology doesn't offer M.Sc in Meteorology studies. Instead, they take admissions to regular mode for the same course.
