Admission to the BTech course is based on the JEE Main score or Class 12 marks. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. 1. DIT University Application Process 2026:
The mode of application is online for all courses, and students can fill out the form by visiting the university's official website. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission. 2. Selection Round:
The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, MBA, M.Tech and PhD courses. DIT also accepts CAT, MAT, JEE Main, GATE and other national-level entrance exams for admission. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. 3. Counselling & Document Verification:
After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for merit-based counselling and document verification. DIT University offers direct admission in BTech course to Class 12 Board Toppers. The university offers admission directly in 10% seats. Applicants are also shortlisted for BTech based on their JEE Main rank.
The total tuition fee of MBA is INR 4.8 lakh to INR 6.5 lakh. Other fee component, include academic services fee to be paid along with the tuition fee. 2. Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States Scholarship (Applicable for UG & PG Courses)
Under this, 25% scholarship on tuition feesis offered to permanent residents of Uttarakhand/ Other Himalayan States for whom 25% seats are reserved in all UG and PG courses as per statutory requirements. Students must have domicile certificate in original at the time of counselling/ admission to get this scholarship.
3. Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for Girl Students (Applicable to UG Courses)
Under this, a scholarship os 10% is offered on tuition fee to girl students in the first year of the course. Students must meet the below conditions:
- Scored 80% aggregate and above in Class 10 and Class 12
- Scholarship percentage will remain same for all categories of admission

Yes, DIT University offers scholarship solely to girls called Shri Naveen Agarwal Ji Scholarship for girls students. This scholarship is applicable to UG programmes. Scholarship of 10% on tuition fee is applicable for Girl students in first year of UG programmes under to conditions:
- Student has scored 80% & above in Class 10 & 12 aggregate
- Scholarship percentage will remain same for all categories of admission
To continue the above scholarship, the student should maintain a CGPA of 8.5 and above every year, without any back paper, UFM and Indiscipline case
Top 10% students in each UG course can continue their merit scholarship based on their CGPA obtained in each complete year at DIT University. Students should maintain a CGPA of 6 and above every year without any back paper, UFM and indiscipline case. Below is the criteria:

Aspirants must fulfil the eligibility requirements for admission to a BSc course at DIT University. As per the official website, the common eligibility criteria are Class 12 or equivalent pass in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics (As per chosen specialisation) as mandatory subjects with at least 50% aggregate. In addition, students should have passed in English as well. The qualifying exam should have been passed from a recognised board.
DIT University BTech CSE fees are comparatively higher than those of the other branches. The total course fee for CSE is approximately INR 16.35 lakh, which includes tuition, Industrial Tour Charge, and Academic Services Fee.

Admission to MCA at DIT University is based on merit in the last qualifying exam. After completion of the selection rounds, the university releases a merit list to announce the names of the shortlisted candidates. The shortlisted aspirants are called for counselling and document verification. Aspirants need to pay a course fee to confirm their seat in the university.
In order to get admission at DIT Dehradun students need to meet the educational qualification set by the university. To know the admission process candidates can check below:
Step 1: Online Application
The mode of application is online for all courses. Candidates need to pay an application fee to apply for admission.
Step 2: Selection Rounds
The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. Additionally, candidates who do not have any of the scores mentioned above need to sit and appear for merit-based counselling on DUET followed by PI.
Step 3: Counselling & Admission Confirmation
After the completion of the selection rounds, candidates are called for merit-based counselling and document verification. Selected candidates need to pay a course fee to confirm their admission.
BTech is a four-year course offered at the UG level at DIT University. The specialisations, include Computer Science Engineering, Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil, Electronics & Communication, etc. Aspirants must pass Class 12 with specific subjects to apply for BTech. Admission is based on JEE Main rank or Class 12 scores of the candidates.
Full-time PhD scholarships who have qualified NET/ GATE get a stipend of INR 16,000 per month towards Teaching and Research Associateship as per the availability of teaching positions at DIT University. Aspirants who pass DUET for admission in PhD with 60% or more are eligible to get INR 10,000 per month as stipend towards Teaching and Research Associateship.
Yes, DIT University four-year course includes summer internship for two months (four weeks) in second and third year. In the final year, the internship (optional) is for six months as per the requirement of hiring organization.

The curriculum of all courses is divided in six/eight semesters. The syllabus includes different core and additional subjects. Additional subjects include SEC, AEC, electives, etc. Some core subjects in English are Dalit Literature, Woman Writings, Indian Diasporic Literature, etc.
