As per the latest report,  over 350 recruiters participated in the placement process 2023 at DIT University and presented over 1,350 job offers to the students of Class 2023. The the highest package package offered during DIT University placements in 2023 stood at INR 58 LPA. The top recruiters of DIT University Dehradun in 2023 included Palo Alto Network,   Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, KPMG, IBM, Optum, Commvault, etc.

The university shortlists candidates based on their merit or entrance exam scores. DIT University Dehradun also conducts DUET for shortlisting aspirants for MPharm, M.Tech and PhD courses. The university conducts other selection rounds like GDPI or PI rounds for some of the specific courses. However, for PhD who have a valid score GATE / SET / SLET will be selected based on PI. The university is ranked at 83rd position under the Pharmacy category by the NIRF 2025. DIT university has also been ranked at the 21st position by the Week for the year 2025 for B.Arch.

DIT University Dehradun offers good placement to its students. As per the report 2024, the overall mean and median package offered was 5.76 LPA and 5.16 LPA. The highest package was 44 LPA. The overall placement rate recorded was 64.18%.
