Goa University offers two-year MA programme divided into four semesters. MA is available in various specialisations, namely Economics, English, Environmental Science, Hindi, etc. Aspirants who have completed any of the UG degree can apply for MA. Yes, for admission to MA (except Wellness and Counselling) at Goa University, students need to qualify Goa University Admissions Ranking Test (GU-ART) entrance exam. It is a common in-house entrance exam conducted by the university itself for all PG courses. The marks/ percentage obtained by the candidate while graduating would only be used to ascertain the eligibility of candidates for the programme. The purpose of the GU-ART is only to rank the prospective candidates and not for determination of pass/ fail.
If a student chooses to withdraw from any of the Goa University programme in which s/he is enrolled, the following five-tier system shall be followed for the refund of fees remitted by her/him. Find below the refund policy:

In the Goa University, the passing rates are divergent in both the undergraduate and postgraduate courses. Students under the UG have to pass a minimum of 40 percent aggregate mark on a combination of theory and practical. In respect to PG, both internal and end-of the semester assessment needs a minimum of 50 percent. Such criteria are able to support academic standards and fairness of all courses.
