GBPUAT offers admission to BTech course based on JEE Main score. Except BTech in Food Technology and Biotechnology, the selection for all BTech specialisations is based on JEE Main. Shortlisted candidates are required to participate in UKSEE Counselling. Shortlisted candidates need to pay course fee to confirm their seat in the university.

For branches like Computer and Information Technology, you really need to score good. Especially for general category students the closing rank is about under 40-50k. And for branches like electrical and electronics and communication engineering your rank must be around 90k. And for the rest branches like mechanical, industrial and production Engg, agricultural and civil engineering lower ranks under 3 Lacs may be considered.

Patnanagar University conducts GBPUAT entrance exam for admission to BSc (Hons) courses. The university also accepts ICAR AIEEA for Agriculture courses. There are various aspects that are taken into account while comparing colleges. Some of them are location of the univresity, fees structure, record of the placement status and so on. GB Pant Universitry is a decent university. HNBGU is another university in the Uttarakhand state. However, the decision of selecting colleges ultimately lies with the student.
