This college has the best facility for students.
Placements: Approximately 60-70% of our seniors in electrical engineering are placed in some good reputed companies from on-campus placements, rest of them either get placed by off-campus placements or opt for higher studies. The highest salary package offered is 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Tata Motors, Byju's, Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki, BHEL, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is good it has everything that students want, students can visit the library for books, and it also has a central computing facility for high-speed Wi-Fi. The laboratories are old but they are good. During the time of the course, students will have 4 hostels for boys and 2 hostels for girls, The food is decent, and students have a separate small sports ground in every hostel. There is also an annual sports event at this university and the common sports ground is available where students can compete with students from other hostels.
Faculty: Almost teachers are well qualified with Ph.D., and they are very knowledgeable and can clear all their doubts. They are also very interactive and can solve students' doubts. Semester exams are difficult, and the highest CGPA is 8.3, but still students can manage to get about 7 till the end of the course.
Other: I chose electrical engineering because our college is one of the best for studying core branches whether its faculty members or placements, it is good. I wish our college could have a bus facility for the students living nearby, and I live near this college but I have to opt for the hostel. Our college fests are mostly organized in the other half of the year where students can participate in various events like music, dancing, etc.

Review of Govind Ballabh Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.
Placements: There is 2:6 is the ratio of girls to boys. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA. lacks minimum from our college. The top recruiting companies are Tata, Bajaj, Birla, and others visit our campus to hire students. The internships are provides to the students. Electrical engineering is the royal branch in our college.
Faculty: The top quality professor are there for teaching students in royal manners. All the faculty members has royal teaching experience and delivery of thoughts and their opinions are also good to hear. All the faculty members are extremely good in this college. Teachers are helpful and their study contents is also useful to face exams and competitive exams in various fields. Semester final examination are tough than other exams, but content shared by professor is also helpful for facing it. Final exams are easy with teachers notes.
Other: Our batch of electrical engineering is enjoyful and royal like this branch. All are helpful in this college. The hostel life is good than in other modes.

The infrastructure is very good.
Placements: As I have seen only 20% students got placed in Electrical Engineering different companies like TCL, Infosys and Tata etc. The highest package around 7 LPA. And the lowest package around 2.2lpa. So much student here in my college prepare for GATE Examination.
Infrastructure: The library of my university is very good in infrastructure. There are thousands of useful books collection for every branch students. Wi-fi facility is available on a department of college called CCF (Central Computing Facility). The hostel is average in condition but food are good.
Faculty: The professor are very helpful and well qualified. The teaching quality is average. In this university Electrical Engineering stream is very good as I told by the seniors of my college. Semester exam is not very easy in this college. The pass percentage in this stream about 80%.
Other: I chose this university because this is nearly my location and also this is very prestigious institute nearby me. The campus life is awesome in this University. The greenery of this place is very beautiful. I think Placement should gonna be better.

If you don't get admission in NITs, then join our college.
Placements: Placements are average here. From a batch of 50 students, hardly 10-12 students get placed from the electrical branch. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 3.5 LPA. I suggest you to prepare for competitive exams as soon as possible. TCS and Hero visit here for placements.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are average here. Wi-Fi facility is available on the campus and hostel, but only 1 GB of data is provided on a daily basis. Medical facilities are good, and if you want to play any sport, sports facilities are very good here. One thing is that mess facilities are extremely good here.
Faculty: Faculty members here are experienced, and many of them have done their PG from respected IITs. Their teaching skills are awesome. In Uttarakhand, if you do not get any NIT, then Pantnagar is best as here you will get enough time to prepare for GATE exam.
Other: Actually, I like the electrical part of physics, so I chose this course. I wish that the placement record should be improved.

College of Technology Pantnagar: Details about Infrastructure, Placements and College Life.
Placements: IT companies like TCS are the main recruiters. Very few core electrical companies like Maruti Pvt. Ltd. , John Deere etc come for placements. The average package offered is less than 4 lakh p. a. Yes there is a dedicated placement cell in the college where students do not have much part to play. The placement cell doesn't take advantage of the wide Pantnagar alumni base for placements which could have been very useful.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure in the college is not in tune with present generation facilities. There is no free Wi-Fi connection available. Few classrooms which are new have good facilities, like good quality chairs, air conditioning, marker boards, projectors etc. But old ones are not laced by the above facilities. The library has been recently renovated and along with the Central Computer Facility is the best place where most of the students are found in their free time. The RL Stevenson Stadium has a big athletics field along with an indoor badminton court. Pantnagar has a wide variety of canteens that offer food to various taste buds.
Faculty: Teachers were mostly well qualified, knowledgeable and are very helpful to interested students. Student to teachers ratio was in line with AICTE guidelines. For industry exposure few branches like Production, Mechanical, Electrical used to go for industrial visits and field trainings. the college curriculum was mostly in line with the GATE syllabus.
Other: 2 annual fests. 1 cultural fest and 1 technical. The details of various festivals and programs in college can be found on the wikipedia page of the university.

There is all-around development at Pantnagar University.
Placements: The placements of the college are not good. Most of the placement opportunities are for people pursuing either B.Tech in agricultural engineering or B.Tech in CS or IT. Hence, I would strongly recommend new students to take up any of these branches here if they are confused about the selection of branch. However, only if they are utterly convinced about taking any other branch up like mechanical, civil, etc., they should take up those. The companies that visit on a regular basis are Hero Motocorp, Escorts, John Deere, Pradan, etc., and they mostly offered IT and agriculture jobs. The average salary package was around 4 LPA. However, getting internships is easy as the campus is located next to SIDCUL, Rudrapur.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is old but magnificent. The university was established in 1964 and encompasses over 10,000 acres of land. Most of it is farmlands, and the college premises are not huge. Most buildings are old and reflect this clearly. The administration is working on renovating the buildings but is doing a slow job. There is a sports complex called Stevenson Stadium, which houses a gym, facilities for table tennis, basketball, lawn tennis, football, cricket, squash, volleyball, and a running track which are available for all the colleges in the university. The hostels are provided on a double occupancy sharing basis for first-year and second-year students. For third-year and final-year students, single rooms are provided. There is a functional hospital on the campus. However, it is not reliable as the doctors there are not available most of the time. There are two markets within the campus, where one can find a number of amenities. The campus is located 15 km away from the city, and therefore for a proper restaurant or to watch a movie, one has to travel some distance and plan for a few days in advance. The campus had strict rules for girls while boys are free to move all-around the clock.
Faculty: The faculty members are good and qualified. However, most of them do not seem excited about their jobs. The teaching quality varies from subject to subject. There are some good professors across all departments. Overall, the teaching quality is average. The course curriculum is not at all updated. We were made to study languages that are outdated now. They were taught to us only for the sake of completing the coursework. The library is huge, and hence, most of the knowledge would be dependent on how much work one puts in individually without depending on the academic system. The student to faculty ratio is about 30:1. Being close to SIDCUL, it is easy to get industry internships and learn from that.
Other: The college organises many fests for students. There are some societies like engineering and technology society, SPIC MACAY, branch chapters, etc., and they keep organising fests and events round the calendar. Students formed some unregistered NGOs like Chetha and Astitve. TFW (tuition fees waiver) seats are available in each branch for the students who are economically weak. Students studying at TFW do not have to pay any college fees as they only have to pay hostel fees. The university has eight colleges. Some self-help groups for dramatics, social work, arts, etc., have been formed by the students themselves on the campus.

Good infrastructure and campus environment. Poor placements in the last few years.
Placements: The placements are not up to the mark in the recent years, with only 40-50% of the batch got placed. The highest package offered is 6.5 lacs/annum, and the lowest was around 3.25 lacs/annum. Some of the companies which visit for placements include Hero, TCS, John Deere, Escorts Tractors, Sonalika Tractors, Tafe, Amplus Solar, etc. The internship opportunities are almost nil.
Infrastructure: A huge 4-storey library with a good number of books and well-equipped computer lab are there on the campus. There is a high-speed Wi-Fi facility across the campus and hostels. The hostel rooms are clean and mess food was good. The girls' hostel has the strict time limitation, in summers, the entry time 7 pm while in winters, it is 6 pm. The boys' hostel doesn't have any such time limitation. The labs are well maintained and have all equipment of course practicals.
Faculty: The college is enriched with well-experienced faculty, many with masters and PhD in their stream. The class timings were flexible. The course structure is too mundane and needs more alignment towards the industrial exposure. Although SIDCUL is built on university land, it doesn't add much to the industrial experience. The faculty are not very much supportive other than usual classes.

Good professors but poor placements.
Placements: The final placements were pretty decent. There are no companies visiting the campus who offer summer internship. Every student has to apply for the internship on his own. Each and every student in branches like electronics and communication engineering, information technology and computer science gets placed. Placements for core branches like mechanical, civil and electrical engineering are not that good. The highest salary offered is 5.8 LPA by Maruti-Suzuki for mechanical engineering students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good and also, no efforts are being made by the administration for its improvement. There are basic facilities like Wi-Fi, projector rooms, labs, workshops but the equipment is not updated. The speed of Wi-Fi is very low and projector rooms are not in a good condition.
Faculty: The faculty team is good and helpful. The teaching method used by them is usually the lectures. In some courses, there are practical sessions also held. The student to faculty ratio in electrical engineering is 30 students for 1 professor. All the professors are PhD holders. Industry exposure is also given during the internship.

Your JEE Main rank is very good enough for getting GBPUAT for the B.Tech Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
