Yes, Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University conducts a Common Entrance Test (CET) for admission to BSc, BCA, BCom (Hons), B.Ed, BA (JMC), BHMCT, BBA, BA (Hons), BVoc, BPT, BPO, BOT, BASLP, BSc MLT, MSc, MA, MEd, MPT, MOT and MPO courses. IPU CET exam 2026 application forms for other courses, open tentatively in March every year. Apart from conducting IPU CET, GGSIPU also accepts several national-level entrance exams to provide admission to a few undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses.
Based on JEE Main ranks, GGSIPU offers admission to various BTech courses. Tabulated below are the Round 1 Closing ranks for GGSIPU BTech cutoff 2023 for All India Quota and Home State Quota for General category students:

- The CMAT 2026 exam is expected to be held in Jan 2026 for admission to the MBA, PGDM, and MMS courses.
- The CUET PG 2026 registration process for admission to PG courses is expected to begin in Jan 2026.
- The CUET UG 2026 registration window is expected to open in the first week of Mar 2026 for admission to UG courses.
- The NIMCET 2026 application form is anticipated to be available in April 2026 for admission to the MCA course.
- The CLAT 2026 exam for admission to the five-year Integrated LLB (UG) and one-year LLM courses will be held on Dec 7, 2025.
- The XAT registration process 2026 is now open for MBA/PGDM courses. The last date to register is Dec 5, 2025. Furthermore, the XAT 2026 exam will be held on Jan 4, 2026.

Yes, GGSIPU is a good university. Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) is the 1st university which was established in the year 1998 by Govt. of NCT of Delhi under the provisions of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University Act, 1998 read with its Amendment in 1999 The University is recognised by University Grants Commission (UGC), India under section 12B of UGC Act. The university is good on placements, scholarships, student's rating.
Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's annual hostel cost is INR 29,500. Mess and welfare fees are not included in the hostel fees. The fee for the mess is INR 36,000, while the cost of the welfare is INR 3,000. Candidates need to submit three demand drafts: one for hostel fees, one for mess charges, and one for welfare charges. Two hostels are maintained on campus for male students, and two are maintained for female students. There are more than 180 single-seat rooms in each hostel. Basic furnishings such as a cot, mattress, pillow, chair, table, cupboard, tube lamp, and fan are provided in each room. Mess facilities are available for residents in each hostel. Residents also have access to a common area, a gym, a reading room, and sports facilities. For the hostels, there is a provision for 24-hour water and electrical services.
GGSIPU BTech fees range between INR 1.4 lakh and INR 10 lakh. This information is sourced from official website/ sanctioning body and is subject to change. The fee mentioned here does not include the university charges of INR 15,000, security amount of INR 5,000 (One time, refundable) and student activity fee of INR 1,000. GGSIPU is a government university. GGSIPU is a UGC approved university. Being a government university, the fee for various courses is not very high. The tuition fee for UG/ PG courses like BTech is INR 2.3L - INR 7.4L & M.Tech is INR 1.9 L - INR 2.8 L.

GGSIPU has all the qualities of a tier 1 university. The university placements are good. Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T) and CloudTechner recently offered placement packages to the AI & ML & AI-DS students. The infra of the university is also good. The classrooms are embedded with the latest & modern

BTech tuition fees at GGSIPU is INR 7.6 Lacs for all BTech courses in the academic year 2026. However, candidates are also required to pay other fees in the form of university charges, alumni deposit, development and infrastructure fees and others on top of the aforementioned tuition fees.
