IPU CET 2026 exam pattern is extremely important for candidates aspiring for admission to BTech lateral entry and BTech (Biotechnology). IPU CET exam pattern 2026 includes details like types of questions, marking scheme, the total number of questions, etc. Besides, it helps in understanding the layout of the question paper. Knowledge of the IPU CET syllabus 2026 is also important to prepare a good preparation strategy.

IPU CET exam is conducted for Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for Diploma holders (Code 128), Lateral Entry to BTech programmes for BSc Graduates (Code 129) and BTech (Bio-Technology) (Code 130).  The IPU CET counselling process for these programmes will be conducted after the results are out. IPU CET 2026 Exam Pattern

IPU CET question paper will include a total of 100 objective-type questions. Each question will carry four options, out of which only one option will be correct. Candidates are required to mark correct one on OMR sheet. The questions will be asked from Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology for BTech (BioTechnology). Candidates can check IPU CET syllabus to know about important topics of the different subjects. It will help them in devising a better exam preparation strategy.

One question will carry four marks i.e. for every correct answer, four marks will be awarded. On the other hand, there is a provision of negative marking wherein one mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
