The cutoff marks of Guwahati University vary from course to course. The university has provided minimum qualifying cutoff marks for admission to a majority of courses offered by Guwahati University. For the M.Tech programme, candidates must have secured at least 50 percent aggregate and for MEd and Integrated MSc-PhD, students just need a relevant UG degree to be eligible.

Some of the colleges under this university are Abhayapuri College, Abhiruchi Institute of Physical Education, Agia College, Ajmal Law College, Alamganj Rangamati College, Duni Degree College, and others. These colleges accepts various entrance exams for admission. So prepare well in advance for the entrance tests. Q:   How can I get admission for MBA at Guwahati University?
A: 

Gauhati University MBA admission is completely based on the merit scores obtained by students in the university/national-level entrance exam along with their merit at the undergraduate level. The university conducts its own entrance exam for admission. However, those with a valid score in national-level entrances, such as MAT/ CAT/ XAT/ CMAT exams are exempted from this test provided they have a score of 75 percentile and above. Those who qualify one of the afore-mentioned exams are required to go through a GDPI round for final selection. Before everything else, students must meet with the minimum eligibility criteria set by the university which is to pass a relevant undergraduate degree with at least 50% aggregate. However, those who are in the final year of their UG degree can also apply provided they have no arrears in the previous semesters and fulfill the complete eligibility before first semester exams.

It is a very good college.
Placements: The college has very good placement opportunities. Recently, most students got placed in some of India's top companies. One student received a placement offer of 15 LPA, which is very good. Many students also got internships at DMart, Axis Bank, and Reliance Industries. The internship rate this year was 97%.
Infrastructure: The college has very good infrastructure. Every classroom has at least three ACs. There is also a library for every department. The college provides good facilities, including single rooms and food. It also provides free medical services to poor people and contributes to charity.
Faculty: Faculty members are very good and explain concepts in a language that students can easily understand. The semester exams are very easy because questions covered in the mid-semester exams also appear in the end-semester exams. This helps students pass easily. The pass percentage for each semester is approximately 95%, which is very good.
Other: I chose this course because I want to grow my father's business. The main thing that needs improvement is the college parking facility. The college hosts various events, including pujas and many other celebrations. It also provides scholarships to students who come from outside Assam.

Overall, it is a good college to study, enjoy campus life, and gain experience for a lifetime.
Placements: A very good percentage of students pass and get placed through our college. Overall, the placement percentage is decent. It is not the best, but it is decent. Around 50–60% of students from my batch get internships. Students gain knowledge, which is the most important thing.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Pragjyotish College is quite decent and attractive, as a lot of trees are planted there. The classrooms are also quite good, neither the best nor the worst. Hostel facilities are available only for girls, not boys. I think the hostels are also decent.
Faculty: Teachers are good, supportive, and strict so that students learn academic and moral lessons properly. Teachers are well-educated. The course is good but not very industry-ready. I would say that most colleges in India are like that. The semester exams are quite good in terms of difficulty.
Other: I chose this course just to enter the commerce field. Gaining knowledge about finance, banking, and money in general is my main focus. There are many things to improve in the course, as not many students get placed in this course, not only in our college but also in most colleges.

The experience was below average and I would not recommend going there.
Placements: There were a lot of students, with some scoring 40 percent up to 70 to 80 percent marks. Our course was free of cost, and only the registration fee was required for the 3 years of our course, which was between 6 to 7 thousand per year. There were no company recruitments in our college. There were no internships either.
Infrastructure: The rooms and buildings were good, but when compared to other colleges like Darrang College and others, Tezpur College's rooms, libraries, and other buildings were smaller. There was a hostel only for girls in Tezpur College, and the canteen food was not that great. There was no sports ground either in the college, only a basketball court, and there were no sports facilities.
Faculty: Only a few teachers were able to take proper classes, most of them could not explain the concepts properly and were not as helpful as they should have been. The semester exams were not tough, but most of the students could not score well because the concepts and topics were not explained to us.

Average infrastructure and support, but placement needs more focus.
Placements: Around 40%–50% of students from my batch got selected, but the LPA was very low, like 2.5 LPA. Most of the hiring was done by some local firms and companies. Only a few students got internships on their own. The college didn't bring many direct internship opportunities to the campus.
Infrastructure: We had a computer lab and Wi-Fi on our college campus, with a library as well. Our college had its own hostel, with boys' and girls' hostels and a capacity of 200 students. Basic medical aid and some sports grounds were available with minimal playable equipment. There was also a gym, but it was not in working condition.
Faculty: Teachers were generally qualified, supportive, and helpful in their subjects. However, the teaching method was mainly theoretical and less practical. The curriculum covered most of the core topics. Semester exams were good and organized. If you attended classes, the exam was pretty easy.

Classes are very good, neat, and clean. The education system is good, and people are very sweet.
Placements: The exam process is fine. I see previous batches, and in many subjects, students secure 70%+. At our college, HS, B.A. 3-year, and 4-year courses are available. The internship report percentage is high. A huge number of students attend the classes and exams. Many students are eligible for scholarships.
Infrastructure: We have unlimited use of Wi-Fi. There are science labs in good condition. The library is fantastic. There are so many books that are very important for us. We are also very good at sports. Many students secure high rankings in national-level sports.
Faculty: Exams are slightly tough, but we can handle them smoothly. Teachers are very good. If we don't know something, they are quick to solve our problems. There are many students who get highly relevant jobs after studying at Nalbari College.
Other: The campus is very clean. There are NCC activities in our college, which are incredible.

Infrastructure: Best and rapidly growing infrastructure. One of the best colleges in the district with high-level and adequate infrastructure. The discipline of the college is remarkable. Hostel is not available currently in the college. But labs, library, etc. are accessible to all categories of students.
