College is good in academics and also in extracurricular activities.
Placements: About 85 percent of students are placed every year. The highest package in my branch is 19 LPA, and the average package is about 8 LPA. Also, many companies came to the college. The highest package of college is 34 LPA on campus, so it is good and okay.
Infrastructure: Labs and classrooms are so good, while the campus is fine, and libraries are so good. About 1 lakh books are available in the college, which is a good facility in the hostel, and the seniors are very supportive in the college, so the academics are going smoothly.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and involved in studies. They provide the best notes possible, so teachers are very nice. They are much more qualified, and the curriculum of the college is very good. Semester exams are easy if we learn small things, the pass percentage is about 50 percent.
Other: Fests are not so good, but we can adjust according to the college.

Good college like in placements, course, alumni network.
Placements: Placements of my course is excellent. Some of high paying recruiters are Asian Paint, Hero, Suzuki. The average package is around 8–9 LPA and placement is 100 percent. In my course, almost 50 percent students got their internships in 5th or 6th semester, which is on campus.
Infrastructure: The campus life is not that much good as compared to other colleges, and the location of the college is also a negative side. Hostel life is good until unless you are in East campus (where all the academic and administrative buildings are present). According to me, it’s better to take private hostel than choosing West campus hostel like Ambedkar and Aryabhatt in 1st year.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified and helping except few. After every month there will be an exam, so you have to prepare according. Curriculum is good, almost same as that of AKTU in first year. Exams are not that difficult; anyone can score 8+ CGPA in first year.
Other: If you are getting this college, you can choose, but hostel of West campus is main problem because it is 7 km from East campus, and your life will be same as that of a day scholar.

Absolutely worthy to join this college as it has a nice network.
Placements: ThisThis branch is new, so the first placement will be there in 2028. Professors are trying their best for our placements as our college is also organising national meetings with other IITs and colleges in the department of pharmaceutical and biological sciences.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is good and present all over campus. Food is good, and we can decide the menu by talking to our mess secretary. We can also add or subtract food items from the menu if people agree with us. The canteen is average, as we get normal things like samosas and parathas.
Faculty: Teachers are always there to help us. The course curriculum is old, as we are studying the same things studied by our seniors for more than 20 years, which is not a good thing. Semester exams are hard for those who do not study because mostly students study 1 night before exams, which is not good.
Other: I chose this course because it is new but has big opportunities in the future, as science is developing faster than anyone can think.

Chemical/CT at HBTU is worth it, strong academics and consistently solid placements.
Placements: According to the placement data provided by the college, this year almost 75–80 percent of students are placed in Electrical Engineering, with an average package of 6–9 LPA. So, placements are decent in the electrical batch. The highest on-campus placement is 10 LPA, and 2 students received offers from Meesho (18 LPA). Top recruiting companies include Reliance Industries Ltd, etc. Around 60–70 percent of students in the electrical batch got internships. Top roles offered are core engineering jobs.
Infrastructure: The campus is decent but mostly old. Buildings are functional, not modern. Labs are mixed, some are updated, while some are outdated. The hostel is basic with average maintenance; rooms are simple, and the mess food is consistent. Overall, it is a workable environment, but don’t expect premium facilities.
Faculty: Faculty is average. Some teachers are good, while many are just okay. The curriculum feels outdated and doesn’t fully match current industry needs. Exams happen very frequently, so you’re almost always preparing for some test or assessment. Overall, the academic load is constant but not always meaningful. Semester exams are not very difficult; you can easily score good marks if you study even a week before.
Other: I chose this course because it offers strong fundamentals and decent placement security. The best parts are the practical exposure, flexibility to shift into different career paths, and the overall learning environment. The curriculum needs a major update to match current industry skills. Faculty quality is consistent, but the teaching style is outdated. More hands-on training and modern labs would make the course far better. Events and fests are a big plus, there’s always something happening on campus. The crowd is mixed but generally active.

The best college in Uttar Pradesh after the IIT.
Placements: The college is best for the lower branch and core branches also because it offers a very high placement in the lower branches like Leather, Civil, Textile, and Engineering. The preparing companies like Google and Microsoft are highly top-notch companies that come here for the requirement of the students who are highly skilled. The average package last year is 30 LPA and the highest package is 69 LPA (off campus), both were recorded as off campus.
Infrastructure: There are several facilities in the hostels. There are separate hostels for girls and boys, in which facilities of mess and very variety of food and cultural diversity are also seen. Many students in Kanpur are from Kanpur itself as it offers a very good rate of interest to students.
Faculty: When the course started from the semester starts in July, in which first CTR is held in the month of September or August, and NMM is also held in January and February. The teachers are highly skilled and they have very great knowledge in their industries. They are highly skilled and have a large experience in the department. The teachers are also very helpful and of very kind nature.
Other: The total fees of the college is 1,63,000, in which the students are offered several facilities, including hostel, girls’ life at night, and many programmes, cultural activities, tours and travel, etc.

Review of HBTU (one of the top state universities).
Placements: Around 76% students were placed last year. The highest package was 36 LPA, and the lowest went around 1.5 LPA, while the average was 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies were TCS, Samsung, IBM, Adani, Cognizant, Nestled, asian paints, HCL, indian oil, Reliance, Wipro, Flipkart, Amazon, Berger Paints, ExxonMobil, Hero Motocorp, Optum, Honeywell and SRF Limited. From my course of CSE, around 20% got internships from companies like Google, Adobe, Amazon, samsung r&d, TCS, IBM, Paytm, Optum, Byju's, etc. The top roles offered in my course (CSE) are software development engineer, design engineer, data analyst, cloud engineer, graduate engineer, project engineer, ui/ux designer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my department is quite old and needs renovation. Wi-Fi is available with good speed throughout the campus. If I talk about the library, it is well-maintained and you can get almost all books and journals from here. The quality of rooms in the hostel is average, and you'll get double and triply seated rooms in 1st, 2nd and 3rd year, while in the final year, you will get a personal single room for sure. The quality of the mess food is average, but it degrades as time passes.
Faculty: The teachers in HBTU are highly qualified and helpful, while you'll find a bunch of faculty members in HBTU who are very rude and get offended very easily. Overall, the teaching quality is great. The curriculum needs to be improved as soon as possible. It doesn't actually make you industry-ready. The exams are quite easy here, you can easily score marks and a good CG just by studying the day before the exam.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in CSE, and it was the best possible option at my JEE Main rank. The quality of labs could be improved in my course, as the proper computers and components are not available here. The college has events around March-April, hosting 3 major fests. The campus crowd is overall good, you'll find most Kanpur locals here. It has good connectivity as it is located in the middle of the city. It provides all the scholarships; the only requirement is that you are eligible for them.
