Legacy of the college is the only word I want to write.
Placements: 94% of the students got placed. For this year, I don't know, but in the previous 2024-2025, I guess 22 LPA was the package offered. I think Valency was the company that gave the highest package last year, as far as I know. 80%-90% of the students got internships as well.
Infrastructure: Everything is nice except infrastructure of hostels and some other buildings as well. Mess food is also okay, studies are also okay. Senior junior relationship, if you have good communication skills, then it's good for you, you would become an extrovert coming here. Classrooms are nice.
Faculty: The quality of education is good, but sometimes good and sometimes average. Semester exams' difficulty is also okay. The pass percentage is approximately 98%-99% of students from our batch, although we generally study on the last day.
Other: It is the best course in this college. Everything is okay, except the 75% rule of criteria. Everything is nice.

Overall college is good. Average package is around 7 LPA-8 LPA.
Placements: In the chemical engineering branch, about 93% of students got placed. The lowest package is about 5.5 LPA and the highest is about 15 LPA. Top recruiting companies in chemical engineering are Reliance Industries, Asian Paints, Lumus, Varroc, Halide Petrochemical, Aarti Industries, HUL, Himadri, etc.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is okay and not very good. As the college is more than 100 years old, its infrastructure is not like that of new colleges, but it is improving, as some new departments/buildings have been added, like a new department of chemical engineering and electronics engineering, which are good.
Faculty: Faculty members are good, and all of them have a lot of experience. The curriculum is good, but it needs some improvement, some outdated things are still taught. Almost every 1.5 months, you have to give exams, checking is very strict, and the overall exam level is medium to difficult.
Other: Overall college is good. It has good ROI.

The campus is very old. The college has good facilities.
Placements: In 2024, the placement rate for B.Arch students at NIT Patna was 55%. The highest salary package offered reached approximately 20 lakhs per annum, while the average package was around 10 lakhs per annum, and the median package was 6 lakhs per annum. Many top companies, including Oracle, Google, Samsung, CRED, and Adobe, took part in the placement drive. Additionally, 60% of students secured internships.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available 24 hours a day in the hostel, classrooms, and throughout the campus, with a limit of 10 GB per day. The infrastructure is good, and the new departments of Chemical Engineering and Electronic Engineering are well-developed. The labs are well-equipped, and the instructors are knowledgeable and helpful.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, many coming from IITs and NITs, and the question-setting pattern is very effective. Students find it easy to attend classes and pass their exams; otherwise, they may face difficulties during assessments. The curriculum is solid, but traditional subjects are also taught in college.
Other: The fest is organized in the university. Adhay Aagaz and many more sub-councils are there on campus. Students can enjoy their life and follow their passion in university as well.

HBTU Kanpur - A legacy of excellence with strong academics and placements.
Placements: In my branch, nearly 90% of students got placed. More than 90% attendance is required. The highest package is 24 LPA, and the lowest package is 5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Aarti Industries and Samsung Engineering. Many students are interns at ExxonMobil, L&T, and Reliance Industries. Roles are basically offered junior engineer and general manager.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is awesome. All kinds of facilities like Wi-Fi, pure water, a library for individual departments, and a central library for all the branches are available here. Hostels are also very satisfying and mess is also very good and provides a healthy diet. I am also a hosteler.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in nature as well as very strict also. All the faculty members are great about their respective subjects. Course curriculum is very relevant and students are ready for industries after the 7th semester. Semester exams are not so much difficult but marking is so tough for the faculty members. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: Here the main fest is Adhyay which is also a very famous cultural fest of HBTU.

Great potential but lacking infrastructure.
Placements: More than 90% of students get placed in chemical engineering branch in one or other company during the overall placement process. The placement package ranges from about 5 LPA and tops around 12 LPA. Top companies recruiting are Reliance Industries, ExxonMobil, Llamas Teach, Jubilant Ingrevia, Asian Paints, TCS, and Samsung. Every student gets internships, and some get paid in companies like ExxonMobil, Jubilant, and Reliance, while others get unpaid industrial training. But the learning experience is for everyone. Graduate engineering trainee is the most common role offered.
Infrastructure: The department building of chemical engineering is the best one in the university. But the condition of equipment and furniture in classrooms is debatable. While the seminar hall and conference rooms are great. There is seamless fast Wi-Fi access for students across the campus. Classrooms have digital boards and projectors. Library has enough books for course requirements. Few labs are fully functional. Canteen and cafeteria are decent and provide good options at fine prices. Students get a medi-claim for health cover of 1.5 lakh which gets renewed every year. Sports facilities are average.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and open to any questions. They help us as much as they can. They are knowledgeable and most are IIT graduates or postgraduates. Some are even qualified from foreign universities. Course curriculum is standard but industrial training is required to be industry-ready which is lacking here. Semester exams are on easier side and can be passed easily with regular study. We need a minimum of 4 CGPA to pass.
Other: The college is over 100 years old. Chemical department alone is more than 50 years old which is older than most colleges. It also has a vast network of alumni at prestigious institutions and high positions in huge industries. So, it gives students benefits in connection with industry. I wish the course included regular industry visits for more practical knowledge. The events for chemical departments have just started and are going great. Few events happen every year in university, and the fest situation is a little dicey right now. Connectivity across campus and the city is great with e-rickshaws and free buses.

HBTU provides the best placements, and it is the best engineering college In Uttar Pradesh.
Placements: In 2023, the placement rate was 100% in chemical engineering. The highest salary package offered is 13 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 5 LPA. Reliance, Chambal Fertiliser, etc., visit the college. Most of the students got internships as process engineers. Roles are offered in courses like B.Tech, B.Pharma, MBA, BBA, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Our college is Wi-Fi enabled. Classrooms have smart boards. The library has computers. Sports facilities include a badminton court, a cricket ground, and 3 auditoriums named Shatabdi Bhavan and Radha Krishnan. The new auditorium has a lecture hall.
Faculty: The teaching quality is good. Teachers are highly qualified. The course curriculum is relevant. Exams are of moderate level. The pass percentage is 95%. Each semester contains 3 exams and 1 practical. Three exams are classified into 2 mid-semester exams and one end-semester exam.
Other: I chose this course because it provides great placement in our college. The best thing about this course is that it makes students industry-ready. Some faculty members should be changed. Our college has 9 subcouncils. It conducts a fest named Adhyaa every year. The connectivity is good with the railway station. There is a lush green campus. Scholarships are provided to needy students. Our college has a Gruv Society Octave for singing, an Aeroclub for drone plans making, etc.

This is a very good college and provides value for money especially in technology branch placements.
Placements: Generally, position of senior executive is given to freshers. In our branch, almost 100% of eligible students are placed, but students who have backlogs are not eligible for some companies. The highest salary package offered by international companies is 20 LPA, while the domestic salary package is 12 LPA, offered by Reliance Industries Pvt. Ltd. Almost 100% of students from our course, B. Tech in Chemical Engineering, have received internships this month.
Infrastructure: Courses are good, but a few hostels are very old, and their condition is average. However, hostel property provides a good environment, with cleanliness and proper guidelines followed. Security is also provided. Campus has a strict no-ragging policy, and a ragging committee ensures there is no room for such activities. Each hostel has a mess secretary, and the menu is decided by students of the respective hostels.
Faculty: Faculty members are very helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. Their teaching qualifications are also good, and teaching environment is excellent. Syllabus for our Technology branch is quite old, although some updates have been made. However, there are still a few glitches.
Other: Our college has a variety of clubs and committees. Students with respective talents can join relevant clubs and showcase their skills.

HBTU Kanpur College Review
Placements: Chemical engineering is a good branch of HBTU. 90 percent of students get placed in this branch. Top recruiting companies are ExxonMobil, Lummus, Jubilant Ingrevia, Reliance, etc. The same top companies are for internships, and some get PPO (Pre-Placement Offers) from companies.
Infrastructure: There is a new chemical engineering department, so the infrastructure is nice for the chemical engineering department. The department facilities are good, and there is also a department library. Wi-Fi is provided. There is one central library in the east campus of HBTU. Hostel facilities are okay, but the infrastructure is not so good and is okayish, not so good. There is no canteen provided in the hostel. Yes, there are sports facilities like a basketball court and a badminton court.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, supportive, and knowledgeable. There are three exams in one semester. Two MS (Mid-Semester) exams and one end-semester exam. The passing marks per subject are 40 out of 100. There are two mid-sem exams: one of 15 marks and another of 20 marks for internal assessments, and the end-sem exam is for 50 marks.

Hello Abhishek, I am very happy that you have chosen chemical engineering on your own and it's not an option to branches. But we can't really be sure at this moment. You might get an admission. Apply and wait for the results. I hope this helps. All the Best!

Yes, you can get good govt. colleges, be it NITs or autonomous institutes of your state where your admissions will be under home-state quota. Try for MANIT, MVNIT, NIT -Durgapur and NIT-Jamshedpur. Also, try for autonomous institutes of your state (which come under NIRF rankings under 100). Best o
