Harcourt Butler Technical University is damn good, overall.

Placements: The highest package was 44.5 LPA and the most established companies are here, like Valency International, Preeti, Amul, Britannia, and Parag, and marketing and sales companies are offering here for the prestigious excellence of students to get to explore all over the world.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is awesome and provides the best environment of study Wi-Fi campus and AC classrooms are second; the largest and biggest library in Kanpur is well all around; superb college but one thing is cheap for four exams held in two months, such as mid-semester and end-semester.

Faculty: All teachers are best in their own field; they have high education and lakh sir is a very decent teacher in our department and all teachers like Anit sir and Anurag sir are damn good international educators in our college who've maintained the opportunity world-wide.

Other: My batch 2026 is awesome—seriously, the annual fest Adhyaay and Technik and a better scholarship of around 67k per annum are offered.

This college has a great culture, great placements, and a strong alumni network.

Placements: 90% of students get placed in our course. The highest package from our branch is INR 23 LPA and the lowest is INR 6 Lacs. The top recruiters are Valency international, Nestle, Unilever, Cadbury, etc. The top roles offered are in food technologies, food science, and production management.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is great. Everything is available in our college, like classrooms, including air conditioning, ventilation, smartboards, and Wi-Fi, which are available for students and faculty as well. Hostels at our college are okay. Food is also okay. Sports facilities are good. Four canteens are in our college.

Faculty: Teachers in our department are very helpful, well qualified, experienced, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is awesome. The course curriculum is relevant; it makes the students ready for industry. Semester exams are difficult but the quality of education justifies the difficulty of examination. 40% is the passing criteria.

Other: I chose this course because I have an interest in the food sector and this field is growing year by year. This field has demand and has career opportunities.

The candidate must have clearly passed Intermediate/ 10+2 Qualifying Examination from U.P. Board or its equivalent from any other recognized Board / University with a minimum of five subjects in which Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects along with any one of the subjects from Chemistry / Bio-technology / Biology / Computer Science as Technical Vocational subjects with above mentioned aggregate marks in above three subjects (50% for OBC-NCL/PwD). In case the candidate has passed the qualifying examination from outside U.P., he/she has to upload the Permanent Residence Certificate (Certificate No. 03) of his / her parent (Father or Mother) issued on or after 01.04.2025. Any candidate and his/her parents are domicile of a State Other than U.P. and the candidate has passed 10+2 from an institution/ school outside Uttar Pradesh then these candidates may seek admission against 5% supernumerary seats in each B.Tech. discipline.
