It is a good state government college.

Placements: Our batch is good here. About 90% of students get placements. The highest package of the 2025 batch is 42 LPA off-campus. The average package is 8 LPA.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in every department. Labs and all area classrooms are quite good as they have AC and good light facilities. The hostel is good but the food in the mess is not good as we want to eat. Sports facilities are good if we do not want extraordinary things.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful. They teach very well and are highly qualified. They all are PhD holders. They give some practical knowledge and theoretical knowledge also. The course curriculum is good. In each semester, there are 2 mid-semester and one final end semester exams. 20 marks for internals are given by the teachers. The pass percentage is 40% in each subject.

Other: I chose this course because I want to learn some specific knowledge in Chemistry. I want to study all details about polymer. Fests are happening there but not very good as they are simply good.

All about HBTU Kanpur, good placements.

Placements: I am pursuing B.Tech in Plastic technology and nearly 90% students got placements from my course. The highest package was 11.8 LPA with a minimum package of 5 LPA and and average package of 8 LPA. Top companies are Reliance, Maruti Suzuki, Exxon-mobile etc. 100% students got internships.

Infrastructure: You will get many facilities at HBTU. The infrastructure is not as good as it should be because HBTU is a 100 years old campus having an old infrastructure. The labs are fully furnished. The classrooms are good with projecting options. There is a library where you can get all the books and you can avail 1 GB worth of free wi-fi in the library as well. Food in the hostel is okay. A canteen along with medical facility and sports ground are available for the students.

Faculty: In HBTU, some of teachers are good and very supportive while the others are very strict regarding the rules and regulations. The permanent teachers are well qualified. The course curriculum is relevant but according to me there is a need to change it. It should have more practicality included. Semester exams are not difficult, you can handle them very easily. Passing percentage is 40% ( and in end semester you have to get 15 marks out of 50 which is mandatory).

In my college all the things are average. I think any average student can take admission here.

Placements: Approx. 60% student are placed in Plastic technology branch. In past years placements are continuously decreasing but in 2023 placements are good. 65% students are placed with average package of INR 6.5 Lacs. So I think, plastic technology branch is good.

Infrastructure: Girls' hostel of HBTU are better than boys' hostel. Mess food of girls hostel is good. Facilities are better in girls hostel and important thing is girls hostel is present inside the campus.

Faculty: I think faculty of all government colleges are the same. Most of the teacher don't want to teach. Very few teacher teaches properly. But most of the teachers are qualified with Ph.D. or M.Tech. Teachers are helpful. If you study properly you can pass semester exams very easily.

Other: If we talk about fest, event or functions in HBTU, most of the time events are held. There are many clubs like eg. Technical sub council, E-cell etc.

My harcourt butler technical university review .

Placements: The placement of the university is decent. The average package is 6.5 LPA and particular for the CSE branch it is approximately 10 LPA. INFOSYS, GOOGLE, TCS, etc. And many more big companies visited campus for placement. Approximately 90% students get placed in on campus placement. Placement is totally depend upon your skills and knowledge. At the end of 4th semester students get internship. You can get your own for better stipend.

Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are all good but it is quite old. All the necessary facilities are provided for the also available in our department like labs, library sports, coding clubs and groups, etc. The hostel facilities are also amazing and the food of mess is good too as compared to price of the hostel.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified and teach us very well. Also they had a lot of years of experience. And the course curriculum is also good and it will definitely make the students industry ready. Our college conduct many test like CT, SEESIONAL, PUT. If you give all test and score good marks in that you definitely get good percentage in board exam. The semester exam are not much difficult and easy to score. The pass percentage is more than 95%. University exam was conducted within 5 to 6 months.

Other: I had chosen this course because of the opportunities available in this field. Also I am a tech enthusiast and eager to learn technology a lot. HBTU is one the best college of Uttar Pradesh. It has a best faculty teaching staff. Many teachers are Ph.D. holder. There are lot of Cultural events, farwell freshers, etc. Are organised in our college.

Placements: Our college provides various internships opportunity for students with companies like Exxon mobile, Valency, Amazon, Flipkart. The highest package is about INR 60 Lacs per annum, average package is of INR 10 Lacs per annum for all branches. Amazon, Flipkart and many company visit the college.

Infrastructure: Our college doesn't provide Wi-Fi facilities. Library is present in our college with a lot of books. Hostels are average with sufficient space but bad infrastructure. Mess food is average and various sports and clubs are there to explore your self with environment.

Faculty: Our faculty is highly educated but they don't bother to teach the student themselves. Students have to learn by themselves. Our course curriculum is tough and it is difficult to pass the exam. Less practical work are done in our college. Pass percentage is about 70 percent.

I like our college cultural and active club.

Placements: Around 90% of our course students get placed. The average salary package offered is 7 LPA to 8 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Exxon mobile Burger, Hero Motor corps, and Maruti Suzuki. The highest salary package offered is 12.5 LPA. Around 60% to 70% of students get internships.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of our college is very poor but development is taken into consideration. Wi-Fi facilities available are limited to 34 Mbpd. Library does not have proper books. Mess facilities are not good in Ramanujan boys hostel. Food served is not hygienic. Hospital is available on campus but most medicines referred by doctors need to purchase from outside.

Faculty: Teachers in our college focus to complete the syllabus whether students understand it or not. They are well qualified. Semester exams are not so difficult because most of the time, questions are from the previous year's question papers. Around 40 marks are required to pass semester exams. The pass percentage is 90%.

Other: The network between seniors and alumni in our college is strong.

Review of HBTU Kanpur - Harcourt Butler Technical University.

Placements: For placements, students have to put in their extra effort because college faculty members are not involved in placements activities. Only their way of communication makes them different from others. In 2022 batch i.e. seniors of our branch get placements in many good companies such as Reliance, VRROC, Exxon, Cognizant, etc.

Infrastructure: I am a day scholar, so I do not know about hostel facilities. But hostel life in this college is like heaven there students make friends and with these friends, they can relax. All my friends are hostellers so they tell me about this and I miss that why I am not a hosteller. The course of our branch is very unique because there are only some colleges which are providing engineering in plastic. So it makes students unique from others.

Faculty: Faculty members of this college are also good, it provides students proper guidance and helps that they need for our course. Faculty members treat students like their family, they give guidance in every aspect of our life. Being a harcourtian students will always feel happy that what they have learned from there in those four years. Exams are moderate, and students will pass the exam if they work hard.

Other: Students have to be interactive with their seniors, juniors, and as well as with their classmates also because the way of communication comes only from the college and how students deal with someone in what manner.

This college known for its good reputation since 1921.

Placements: The average salary package offered was in between 5.5 LPA to 6 LPA. Last year, all the eligible students got placed on the campus placements. We have placement cell in the college which functions well. There is an E-cell, an incubation and innovation centre too which are in the developing phase. Placements of all the branches are good. Last year, seven students got placed in BPCL with salary package around 17 LPA, and ten students in BEL with 9.7 LPA. Overall, the placements in the college are good.

Infrastructure: It comprises of all basic amenities like Wi-Fi, library, sports, medical facilities, etc. Quality of labs and classrooms is good, but since its 97 years old college, hence it has somewhat average looking classrooms. There are six boys hostels, and four girls hostels as all are renovated recently, so now, the hostels are good. Overall, the college building looks majestic when you see from the front, but you may not be satisfied with the classrooms since it doesn't have fancy classes like private colleges. Recently, it has been granted the university status, so crores are being given as a fund to our college by the government.

Faculty: Faculty members in the college are highly qualified. We also get industry exposure. The student to faculty ratio is not that good. Faculty members have industrial exposure, i.e., updated with the recent technology used in industry. Hence, it proves to be highly useful to us as they help us to be in touch with state of the art technology.

Other: Every year, the cultural fest named Odyssey takes place in the college.
