According to HNBGU overall NIRF report 2024, the key highlights of HNBGU placements 2023 as compared with 2022 and 2021 are presented below:

HNBGU BE admission is based on JEE Mains rank, followed by the JoSAA counselling. HNBGU cutoff 2021 was concluded after Round 9. To check out the HNBGU cutoff for all BE specialisations (General AI) candidates can refer to the table given below:

HNBGU Uttarakhand course admission is based on merit in the CUET exam for most of the programmes. Hence, the aspirants need to keep themselves updated with the CUET-UG dates and CUET-PG dates. All the important dates for the national-level exams are published on the NTA official website. The admission notification for HNBGU is released after the release of CUET results.

HNGBU admission 2025 to various courses is based on CUET 2025 scores followed by counselling. HNBGU Uttarakhand accepts CUET-UG scores for admission to BSc, BPharm, BCom, BTech, BA, BHM, Integrated MSc, BCA, BBA, and BA LLB courses. Candidates whose names appear in the merit list are eligible to pay the admission fee for provisional admission. 

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University offers admission to candidates mainly based on CUET scores of the candidates. The university accepts CUET-UG for BTech, BA, BPharm, etc. and CUET-PG for most of the PG courses. Aspirants are allotted seat via CUET Counselling after the release of merit. Hence, direct admission is usually not offered at HNBGU.

Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University reserves seat for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC as per the guidelines of the Central Education Institutions (Reservation in Admission) Act 2006 of the Government of India. The percentage of seat reserved for each category in the BTech course is mentioned in the following table:

Moreover, under the horizontal seat reservation, seat reservation is 30% for women, 5% for defence personnel and/or their dependents, 5% for persons with disabilities and 2% for dependents of freedom fighters.

Yes, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2026 registration has commenced at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA released the CUET 2026 notification on January 03. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2026 process has commenced online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2026 exam must make sure to complete the application form online. Additionally, before filling application form, candidates must make sure that they fulfill the prescribed CUET eligibility criteria to qualify for the entrance exam.

HNGBU Uttarakhand offers various medical courses like BDS and MDS courses for the General AI category candidates. In 2024, for the General AI category candidates, the cutoff rank stood between 7465 and 710628. Similarly, for the General Home State category, the rank stood between 9500 and 928605. In both categories, the course having the lowest rank was  MDS in Oral Medicine and Radiology and the course having the highest rank was BDS - Bachelor of Dental Surgery.
