HNBGU Uttarakhand course admission is based on merit in the CUET exam for most of the programmes. Hence, the aspirants need to keep themselves updated with the CUET-UG dates and CUET-PG dates. The Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University is approved by the UGC and given a "A" grade by NAAC. HNBGU provides more than 700 undergraduate, graduate, certificate, and doctorate courses in 16 streams, 11 schools, 47 departments, and 2 centres (Agriculture and Allied Sciences, Commerce, Earth Science, Arts, Communication and Languages, and Law).

The median package provided during the HNBGU UG 4-year and PG 2-year placements in 2022 was INR 2.90 LPA and INR 5.20 LPA, respectively, according to the HNBGU overall NIRF report for 2023. The NTA has released the exam dates for the JEE Main 2025 Session 2. Paper 1 (BE/BTech) will be administered on April 2, 3, 4, 7, and 8, 2025. Paper 1 will be administered only in the second shift on April 8. The Session 2 registration is closed, and the last date to apply was February 25, 2025.
