HNBGU Highlights 2026
Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was founded in 1973 and upgraded to a Central University. It is recognised by the UGC and accredited by NAAC with an ‘A’ Grade. Across 16 streams, 11 schools, 47 departments and two centres, it offers more than 700 UG courses including PG and doctoral courses. It has three campuses, namely Birla campus, Srinagar (extension at Chauras campus), B.Gopal Reddy campus, Pauri and Swami Ram Teerth (SRT) campus, Tehri.
HNB Garhwal University's chauras and srinagar campus library has a rich collection of over 31000 text and references books, over 30 national and international journals. The University has a book bank facility that loans books to EWS, SC and ST students. It also provides free access to more than 4500 e-journals. Library also has separate reading room section.

No, Common University Entrance Test (CUET) 2027 registrations have not commenced yet. The registration window will be active at cuet.nta.nic.in. NTA will release the CUET 2027 notification in first week of January. Soon after the release of the CUET official notification, the CUET registration 2027 process will commence online at the official website. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET 2027 exam must complete the application form online. HNBGU Uttarakhand course admission is based on merit in the CUET exam for most of the programmes. Hence, the aspirants need to keep themselves updated with the CUET-UG dates and CUET-PG dates. To be eligible for HNBGU B.Ed course admission, aspirant should have a valid Bachelor's or PG degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering and specialisation in Science and mathematics with a minimum of 55% aggregate are eligible for admission. JEE Mains 2026 Dates Session 1 & 2: The National Testing Agency will release the JEE Mains city intimation slip 2026 for session 2 candidates in the second week of March at the website.
Later, 3 to 4 days before the exam date, NTA will issue the JEE Mains session 2 admit card to all registered candidates. Session 2 of JEE Mains will be held from April 2 to 9.
