"A Place to Grow: Excellent Infrastructure and Endless Opportunities at PTU".

Placements: I’m in my 7th semester, and a few core companies like L&T have come for placements, along with others like Jaro Education and Cognizant. Unfortunately, no one from my batch has been selected by the core companies so far, but we’re hopeful with more companies lined up.

Infrastructure: The IKGPTU main campus offers excellent and modern infrastructure, with advanced academic facilities and comfortable hostels. The Civil Engineering department stands out with air-conditioned labs, soundproof classrooms, and easy access to pure, cool drinking water.

Faculty: The faculty in my college is very supportive, but I don’t like that assistant professors are hired on one-year contracts, which are renewed annually. This creates issues with staff management every year. In terms of exams, we have two Mid-Semester Tests (MSTs) and one final exam each semester. The MSTs test our progress halfway through the term, and the final exam covers everything at the end. We also have internal viva exams for practical subjects, which focus on hands-on skills and moral assessment.

Other: I chose this course because it matches my career goals and offers a chance to develop practical skills while tackling real-world problems. The best things about the course are the hands-on learning, experienced faculty, and the exposure to industry trends through internships. However, I wish there was more focus on updated technologies and better career guidance. The campus life is great, with vibrant fests, a diverse and friendly crowd, and a green, peaceful environment. It's well-connected to nearby cities, offers good scholarships, and has plenty of extracurricular activities through various clubs and sports.

College is good as they give a good placement ratio in 2024.

Placements: The college is overall good, but the placement is not that great. However, in our branch, which is Civil Engineering, our seniors have achieved 100% placements. In CS Engineering, the placement is not as good, and the college is far from the city.

Infrastructure: The college doesn’t have full access to Wi-Fi; in fact, in the hostel, there are only two floors with Wi-Fi, and the speed is below average. The network is also not good in our hostel. You have to struggle to get a good network around the hostel area. Our library has good infrastructure, but they don’t have any useful books.

Faculty: The teachers are not very helpful, but they are qualified from good IITs, and many have cleared GATE as well. However, they are not interested in teaching students and don’t make students industry-ready. The semester exams are very easy; if you study the night before, you are going to clear the exams.

Other: I am from the Civil Engineering batch of 2025. I chose this college just because it is a government institution and has good infrastructure. But the reality of this college is not good; they don’t provide a good college life.

This college helps in all round development of students.

Placements: I completed my B.Tech in civil engineering and got placed in jindal private limited company. The package offered to me was 5 Lacs per annum. More than 800 students got employed by doing this course. Top recruiting companies were tata steel, jindal, birla.

Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was exceptionally good. Food was getting delicious day by day. Library and gym were fully equipped. There was active participation by students and teachers. Canteens were open till midnight and the whole night during the examination days.

Faculty: Teachers were knowledgeable and had a good source of knowledge. They were helpful to weak students and provided them, extra classes. The course curriculum was fully relevant to the AICTE syllabus.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. Good placement in last year and also have good teacher.

Placements: Yes, many chances of placements. Most famous company tie up and give good package. Last time mostly student take good package. Infosys, L&T construction company, Manhindra, Tata motors etc. Company are come and place the student. Yes, there is placement cell. Last time The maximum package is 12 Lacs and minimum package is 6.4 Lacs. They are very good company are come and tie up. The IKG PTU is good for all student. I love This campus.

Infrastructure: Very good infrastructure. Neat and clean, green campus. Very good building block. There is a big library and many books are available in library. Class room are very good and also have air conditioner in room and also have project. Wi-fi facility are very good. They hostel building are too good. They have 8 floor in one hostel. The also have alivator facility. The toilet are neat and clean.

Faculty: In IKG PTU the teacher are very helpful. And very well qualified. All teacher are Ph.D. holder. They treat with student like friend. They used smart classes teaching method. All teacher are very good in nature. They also plan a industry tour in every month. They are good in nautre. They told of u don't under stand come with me I teach u don't feel shy am your frnd so don't worry come in my office.

Other: Every year they organise Events and fest. There are 1k studend in our compus. They also provide scholarship for maroet holder, poor people gets.

This is a best college for an engineering future.

Placements: The placement record, according to the previous year, has slightly reached higher than the earlier batch. On an average, the placement percentage is 60 to 70. The teacher and the faculty members are quite good as per the latest book knowledge as prescribed by the university in the running batch. The laboratories are also equipped with the latest type for the studies of the students. An e-board, that is, an e-classroom is available for the students. All the rooms have fully centralised air-conditioning for the student's activities. The senior's batch of pharmacy got the highest placement from this college. The students get placement not only in India but they also get an opportunity to study abroad.

Infrastructure: Surya World Engineering College is the latest and the advanced education hub in Punjab Technical University, Mohali. This college has a 50-acre land area. It consists of several playgrounds like a basketball court, football, cricket, badminton and much more. It regularly organises various extracurricular activities for the students. It has a swimming pool and gym facilities too.

Faculty: The faculty are qualified with the corresponding subjects for various branches of students. The head of the department consistently checks the quality and quantity of the study portion of the students and interacts with them for an enhancement of their future practical experience of that branch and subject.

Is JEE Mains compulsory to take admission in Indo Global College of Engineering for B.Tech in civil engineering?

Yes, it's compulsory. The minimum eligibility criteria for admission to these courses is a pass in 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects with minimum 60% marks. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of JEE score.
