The university offers over 35 UG, PG, and Diploma courses. PTU offers courses in the streams of Engineering, Architecture, Science, Design, Law, Mass Communication & Media, etc. Moreover, the courses are offered in full-time, part-time, and distance modes. The BPharm total tuition fee ranges from INR 2.1 lakh to INR 5 lakh. It is inclusive of fees at the affiliated colleges as well. Moreover, the given fee has been calculated as per the data available from unofficial sources and thus can vary. The total course fee is higher as that will include exam fees, university funds, security deposit, and other fee elements as well. 

IKGPTU, earlier known as Punjab Technical University was established under Act of the State Legislature in 1997. The university affiliates 120+ AICTE and 65 UGC-approved colleges. The university offers 25+ courses at its main campus. Candidates can go for the university as it offers a wide range of courses and practical knowledge to the students. It uses new techniques and methods to teach students in modern and innovative ways. It also has received a mandate to start Centres of Excellence to help students to grow in research, development and their training.

Yes, I.K. GPTU does offer some scholarships to its students. The students at the university can apply to the below scholarship at the official website. The candidates must check the eligibility criteria before applying to the same, as the scholarships are offered to the candidates meeting the eligibility requirements. Scholarships offered are:

• Post Matric Scholarship Scheme for SC / ST / OBC

Candidates can also apply to national-level scholarships offered by the government as the same is also accepted at IKGPTU.

IK Gujral Punjab Technical University offers scholarships to meritorious and financially-weak students. Aspirants pursuing a course from the university can apply for the scholarship. Below is the criteria:

• Top 10% of students enrolled under same batch for all disciplines/ streams are offered scholarships of 50% of the tuition fee
• Next 20% students Top 10% of students admitted under same batch for all disciplines are offered scholarships of 25% of the tuition fee

Direct Admission started for the UGC courses. Students will directly report to the respective University Campuses for Admission I.e. Main Campus Kapurthala and constituent campuses Amritsar, Mohali-2 and Hoshiarpur.PTU MBA Admission Guidelines

Admission to the MBA programme is granted on the basis of scores obtained by the students in CMAT followed by centralized counselling. The students are allotted seats based on their rank, choice, and seat availability.

There is only PG which is available nearer to this university in which the college staffs stays, it is not for girls, generally most of students stay in the college hostel because it has very less hostel fee. Also in kapurthala which is nearly 4-5kms from the university, there are two-three PGs available which is better to stay. But no one from our college lives there, if some one don't want to stay in hostel either they are local or they take a flat/apartment.
