Candidates with a valid BTech degree or PG Degree in Science/Mathematics/IT/Computers/MCA from a recognised university can apply for admission. No, you can't take admission in M.Tech at IIIT Delhi without appearing for the GATE exam. The institute offers this two-year full-time programme at the postgraduate level. Aspirants must meet the basic eligibility of passing graduation in the relevant stream from a recognised university in addition to clearing the GATE exam. For seat allotment, candidates have to register for the CCMT counselling.

Candidates need to be Class 12 pass with minimum 70% aggregate in five subjects including Physics, Maths and Chemistry and 70% in Mathematics in Class 12 from a recognised board to become eligible for the BTech programme. Moreover, the aspirant should have passed the qualifying exam from a recognised board. During the form filling and at the time of admission, candidate must hold the pass certificate for verification purposes.

JEE Main rank is accepted by both DTU and IIT Delhi, followed by the JAC Delhi counselling process for admission to various BTech specialisations. According to the JAC Delhi Round 1 cutoff 2025, the closing rank for CSE admission for the General AI category was 2285. While for IIT Delhi it was 8171.

Therefore, going by the cutoff for both institutions, IIT Delhi is relatively easier for CSE admissions. Although those candidates who qualified for DTU can view other parameters to consider for a better, more knowledgeable decision.
