The technology institute admits candidates to PhD courseson merit and respective entrance exam scores. The accepted entrance exams are GATE/ UGC NET/CSIR NET. IIIT Delhi admission 2023 was concluded after the release of JAC Delhi Round 5 Seat Allotment results. IIIT Delhi JEE Main cutoff 2023 was released for multiple specialisations. It is mandatory for students to have a valid JEE Main score for admission to the BTech programme. However, for Delhi-based students, admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS programmes is done basis of UCEED rank and Class 12 marks, respectively. However, it is still mandatory that the students fulfil the course-specific eligibility criteria. Hence, candidates without a valid JEE score can also take admission to IIIT Delhi BTech CSD and CSSS courses.

Last year, the closing rank for BTech in Computer Science and Design was 981, which is very close to this range. This was for the General category under the All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one cannot afford to score less than this. With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since the cutoffs keep changing year on year, it is advisable to try to score better ranks to increase your chances of getting admission to IIIT Delhi.

JEE Main 2026 Session 2 exam takes place in the month of April every year. Whereas, the application form for Session 2 will be available on the JEE Mains website. The exam is conducted by NTA.

Admission to the BTech programme is done basis JEE Main score followed by JAC Delhi Counselling. For Delhi-based students, admission to BTech CSD and CSSS programmes is done basis of UCEED rank and Class 12 marks, respectively. Yes, IIIT Delhi offers MTech across different specialisations. The two-year course is divided into four semesters. All the courses are credit-based programmes. Admission to the courses is entrance-based followed by an interview round. The accepted entrance examinations are GATE, PGCAT-IIITD, and GAT-B. IIITD offer MTech courses in the streams of Computer Science & Engineering, Computational Biology, and Electronics and Communications Engineering.

DTU ranks 29 and IIIT Delhi ranks 85 as per the NIRF ranking 2024 under the “Engineering” category. The total tuition fee for BTech is INR 3 lakh – INR 6.4 lakh at DTU and INR 18 lakh at IIIT Delhi. The highest domestic and international package offered during IIIT Delhi BTech placements 2024 stood at INR 49 LPA and INR 109 LPA, respectively. Additionally, in DTU, the highest package offered in 2022 was INR 64.23 lakh. Considering the mentioned data, DTU is definitely a better choice for BTech course aspirants.

The cutoff trend for BTech at IIIT Delhi has been decreasing in the recent years. In 2024, the closing rank for BTech under general category for all India quota was 10559. In 2023, it improved to 8670. Similar cut off trend can be seen for female candidates under all categories however the ranks are slightly different.

In 2024, the cutoff ranks for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering with a cutoff rank of 6695, followed by B.Tech. in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence with 7865. On the contrary, B.Tech. in Electronics and VLSI Engineering had a closing cutoff of 11064, making it the least desirable course among the students. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. Additionally, the cutoff rank also varies if the applicant is a female.

The last date for the GATE 2024 registration was October 20 with late fees. The last date for GATE 2024 registration without late fees was October 12. GATE 2024 application form was available online on the IISc Bangalore official website. GATE 2024 registration link is gate2024.iisc.ac.in. The registration window opened on August 30, 2023. Candidates can apply for the GATE exam until the last date. Before filling out the GATE application form, it is advisable for the candidates to check the eligibility criteria. In case a candidate fails to fulfill any of the GATE exam eligibility conditions, then his or her candidature will be cancelled and he or she will not be able to download his or her GATE admit card for 2024. IIT Roorkee announced the GATE 2025 result on March 19, 2025. To check the result, candidates will need to enter their GATE enrollment ID, registered email ID, and date of birth. The GATE exam is very prestigious among engineering and Science graduates. It is conducted every year by one of the IITs among the nine IITs. In 2024, IISc Bangalore conducted the GATE exam. The exam also opens various opportunities for engineering and Science graduates to work in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) and in the field of research. Opening and Closing rank depends on the category and quota of candidates. For the General category under All India, opening rank was 4554 and closing rank was 4659 in 2023. The cutoff in 2024 for the all-India quota ranged from 6695 to 9975. Cut off are differant when it comes to other categories or female candidates and even domicile of home state.
