IISc offers a four-year BSc (Research) programme divided into eight semesters. IISc Bangalore BSc is an interdisciplinary programme that covers the disciplines of Engineering, Social Sciences, and Humanities and a one-year research project. To be eligible for BSc an IISc Bangalore, candidates must meet with the minimum eligibility criteria set by the institute and go through the selection rounds accepted by the institute. Details around the same are as follows:

- Candidate must be qualified in any one of the exams mentioned above, and the exam result must be valid as on Aug 1 of the year of admission.
- IISER Aptitude Test is introduced as a new mode of entry for the academic year 2024. Candidates have to apply directly on the IISc admission portal to apply through this mode.
The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore has released the JEE Main cutoff for admission to the Bachelor of Science (B.Sc. Research), a four- year full-time UG course. As per the Round 1 cutoff, the closing rank stood at 903 for the students belonging to the General AI category. For other categories such as OBC, SC and ST, the JEE Main Round 1 closing ranks are 1665, 581 and 314 under the AI quota.
The data regarding JEE Mains cutoff for BTech admissions at IISc Bangalore have not been revealed for the year 2025. Yes, a student can apply for more than one course based on their qualifications but must fill out appropriate online forms for the same. IISER 2026 entrance exam will be conducted online or in computer-based test mode. Candidates will be assigned a centre equipped with the facilities to conduct the test in CBT mode. The IISER Entrance Exam will be conducted in various exam centres across India. The duration of the entrance exam is three hours, from 9 AM to 12 noon. The format of the questions will be Multiple Choice Questions or MCQs.
