    Aspirants are allotted seat in BTech course of IISc Bangalore via JoSAA Counselling based on their JEE Main scores. Candidates do not have to apply on the institute's website for BTech. There is no institute-level process for BTech admission.

    A: 

    The total tuition course fee for BTech at IISC Bangalore is INR 8 lakh. The total course fee includes various other components like Gymkhana fee, Library deposit, other academic fee, Statutory deposit, and Students emergency fund. The tution fee for SC/ST/PwD students is fully waived. Annual tuition fee can be paid in three installments.     The answer to this question depends on the course you are applying at IISC.

    For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission,  JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. For other courses such as MTech, MSc and PhD, JEE Main is not required for admission at Indian Institute of Science (IISC).

    Q:   What is the mode of application at IISc Bangalore?
    A: 

    The mode of application at IISc Bangalore is via online mode only. The university offers courses at the UG,PG and Integrated PhD levels. Students should visit the official university website and check their eligibility for the chosen course and then after start the admission process by filling the application form at the site only.
    The admissions to BTech programme are carried out via JoSSA counselling only. The admission to IISc is based on merit and entrance exams.

    No, IISc Bangalore does not offer direct admission in BSc. Candidates need to fulfill eligibility criteria and clear the IISc cutoff of JEE (Advance) to get admission. Otherwise, they need to take IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) and clear the cutoff according to their category for admission.
