IISc Bangalore BTech programme is offered at the UG level in the academic feild of engineering and computation. The IISc BTech is offered for a duration of 4-year spread into 8 semesters.

- New programmes: The IISc has launched three new Btech programme for the 2026-2027 admission year, which includes Aerospace Engineering, Mechanics and Computing, and Materials Science Engineering.
- Eligiblity: The IISc BTech programme requires the student to pass Class 12 from Science stream with minimum 60% marks (no minimum limit for reserved students) by a recognized board. Also the candidate must appear in JEE Advanced.
- Admission Criteria: Admission is strictly offered through JoSAA counselling and seat allocation is based on the students ability to satisfy the rules set by JoSAA. Students should sign up on the official JoSAA website and later take part in the counselling and seat allocation process as per the date given by JoSAA.
- Exams Accepted: The admission to the insititute requires the student to appear and score valid marks upto the cutoff in JEE Advanced.
- BTech Fee: The entire tuition fee for four years is INR 8 lakh. Tuition fee has been completely waived off for students from SC/ST/PwD category.
- Scholarships: There are around 12 Fellowships available for BTech by different individuals and organisations to support needy students. Typical monthly stipend is INR 7,000.

For Bachelor of Technology (BTech) programme, aspirants are offered admission based on JEE Main score. Hoewever, for BSc programme admission, JEE is not compulsory. Candidates with a valid score in IISER Aptitude Test can also get admission. No, IISc Bangalore does not offer direct admission in BSc. Candidates need to fulfill eligibility criteria and clear the IISc cutoff of JEE (Advance) to get admission. Otherwise, they need to take IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) and clear the cutoff according to their category for admission.
