IISc Bangalore MTech Courses & Fees 2024: Eligibility, Placements, Admission, Scholarship

Candidates seeking admission to IISc Bangalore can apply online on the IISc Admissions Portal by paying an application fee of INR 800 (General / OBC / EWS, Sponsored candidates from government and PSU), INR 400 (SC / ST / PwD), INR 200 (ERP candidates-all categories). 1: IISc Bangalore Mtech Application Process 2024

IISc Bangalore MTech course admission is based on the entrance exam. Eligible students can apply online or offline. The steps to be followed for the online IISc Bangalore Mtech application form are as follows:

1.1: Visit the online admissions portal at https://admissions.iisc.ac.in, and click on the UG course programme or UG programme

1.2: Students must first register on the admissions portal by clicking on “New user to register click here”

1.3: Register by providing your name, date of birth and email address.

1.4: Make sure that your name and date of birth match your degree certificates. You cannot change these values later.

1.5: Make sure you have access to the email address. The candidate cannot change the email address later. All email communications regarding admissions will be sent to this email address.

1.6: Once you register will receive an email from the official website with a link to confirm your email address. Once you click on that link, the registration will be active. Aspirants can now log into the portal to apply.

2: Selection Process

The applicants are shortlisted for admission based on scores in the accepted exam. IISc Bangalore accepts JEE Main, JEE Advanced, and GATE scores for admission. Additionally, candidates can fill out the GATE application form or other accepted exam application form to proceed to the selection round.

3: Counselling

On completion of the selection procedure, selected students are called for counselling. In this round, document verification and seat allotment procedures are carried out. For seat confirmation, students are required to submit the admission fee amount. IISc Bangalore MTech tuition ranges from INR 18,000 to INR 8.8 lakh. The mentioned fee is taken from the official website/sanctioning body. It is subject to change and hence, is indicative.

• The students are awarded the below scholarship from the date of joining the Institute. The scholarship amount awarded per month for students enrolled in MTech programmes of the Institute is mentioned below:

• Scholarships/ fellowships from CSIR, UGC, DBT, ICMR, AICTE, DAE (NBHM), and DST.
• Scholarships/fellowships from companies such as GE, Infosys, IBM, HP, Tata, Philips, Bell Lab, Microsoft, and the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DietY).
• The Scholarship is offered for a maximum period of 2 years in the case of M Tech/ M Des/ M Tech (Res) and for PhD programme, a Fellowship of 5 years.
