The college focuses much on learning.
Placements: The placements in our college are very good. All the students got placed, and there was no confusion during the placement process. Every placement offered was genuine. Many MNCs and startups visited the college. Although official stats remain disclosed, I heard the highest package is Rs. 1.25 Cr per annum (equivalent USD).
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of IIIT is good. The admin block and electronics lab are present in Nilgiri building. Many research centres are available, in which active research keeps happening. For games, there are two grounds, a basketball court, tennis court and 2 badminton courts, which are also well-equipped with the equipment required to play.
Faculty: This college offers only two B.Tech courses, i.e., CSE and ECE, and specialisations in various high-level fields in MS. There are also a lot of research centres for various fields that involve technology and science. The course curriculum is pretty hectic and course oriented, and it doesn't have the subjects which are not useful for the enrolled course.

Other: Here, five-year dual degree programs are also available. Students who want to pursue higher studies after the completion of B.Tech. should go for five-year dual degree programs. And, students who want to do a job should go for simple B.Tech. programs. Initially, the courses are same for four and five-year programs. Students who have taken admission in the five-year program have to choose their specialization. Students can choose elective courses according to the requirements for specialization or depending on their interest. After the first year, students have the opportunity to become a teaching assistant. Hostels are available in the campus itself which is good for the security point of view. Both veg and non-veg mess are available. Doctors visit the campus in the afternoon and ambulance is available for 24 hrs. But pharmacy is not available. Computer systems are provided in the fifth year. It can also be provided earlier if it is needed by the students. Working in the lab encourages discussion among students and helps in research. Students can join clubs according to their interest. Many competitions and cultural festivals are arranged as a part of extra-curricular activities. Students and faculty celebrate festivals together with full zest. Placements and internships are arranged by the committee of students. The faculty is not a part of this committee and are more oriented towards research. Placements, generally start in the first week of December and continue till almost all the students are placed. Companies like Google, Microsoft, and Amazon come for placements. Students of four year and five-year program appear for placements in the fourth and fifth year respectively. Many students of the five-year program are unable to complete the research work in five years and they get a degree of B.Tech. and MS together after completing the both.
