IIIT Hyderabad admission to the BTech intergrated courses is based on candidates' performance in the IIITH UGEE entrance exam. The last-round closing ranks for the General AI category for admission varied between 53 and 200. Therefore, it is possible for the General All India category candidates to get admission to the institute at 150 rank. As per the last three years, IIIT Hyderabad cutoff, it can be estimated that JEE Main R1 seat allotment result will range between 367 and 839 for B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering Likewise, BTech ECE R1 must range between 871 and 2211 for the General catgeory All India Quota candidates. 

IIIT Hyderabad offers two BTech courses at the UG level. Candidates seeking admission to the same must have a valid score in any of UGEE,  JEE Main, Olympiad, Direct Admissions for Students Abroad (DASA) and Special Channel of Admission (SPEC) and Lateral Entry Entrance Exam (LEEE) exams.  

The BTech total course fee at International Institute of Information Technology Hyderabad will consist of tuition fees, examination fees, security deposit, etc. and ranges between INR 10 Lakhs and INR 22.5 Lakhs depending on the specialisation chosen. Though this fee amount does not take in any extra charges, scholarships or fee concession. 

Goimg as per the last three year trends, IIIT Hyderabad is expected to conduct BTech counselling based on JEE Main scores upto Round 4 or 5. The two BTech specialisations offered by IIITH through JEE Main are B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering and B.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. Only candidates with a valid score in JEE Main can apply for the mentioned courses at IIITH. IIIT Hyderabad BTech cutoff has been concluded with the release of Round 5 seat allotment. To get admission into IIIT Hyderabad via UGEE, candidate must attain the required rank. The minimum rank to get admission to the integrated courses was 200, for the General All India category candiates. For the OBC AI category candidates, the minimum rank was 53. The cutoff for other categories including ST AI and PWD AI was also 53. Notably, the most lenient course to get admission to IIIT Hyderabad through UGEE was B.Tech. + M.S. (by Research) in Electronics and Communication Engineering.

According to NIRF report 2025, the median package recorded during IIIT Hyderabad BTech placements 2024 was INR 32 LPA. M.Tech median package received in 2024 was 23 LPA.

There is a merit-cum-means scholarship offered by the State Governments such as Pratibha Scholarship by the Andhra Pradesh Government at IIT Hyderabad. Following are the avenues for such assistance:

• The institute's alumni have set up a fund to assist successfully admitted students based on their financial condition. However, it is offered on a pay-it-forward basis
• State Bank of India (IIIT branch) assures an SBI Scholar student loan to a candidate who secures admission at IIITH for up to INR 20 lakh. Also, one can avail of the loan even if the family of the applicant has other existing loans

The semester-wise fee for PhD is INR 75,000. Additionally, the deemed university provides financial assistance towards the tuition fees and stipend to all research students (PhD) of good standing. Normally, full financial assistance requires the student to put in 20 hours of work per week. Financial assistance is provided to all the students during the first semester, but it is continued based on good academic performance.

Admission to various programmes offered by IIIT Hyderabad is based on an entrance exam. Interested candidates can apply by filling out an online application form. The International Institute of Information Technology - Hyderabad (IIIT-H) residential institute, meaning all admitted students must reside on campus. The institute has separate hostels for boys and girls. There are a total of five on-campus hostel facilities, of which three are dedicated to boys and two are allocated to girls. The hostels generally offer single, double, and triple occupancy rooms on a sharing basis. However, the institute also offers single rooms to the final-year and research students on a need basis.
