Jamia Millia Islamia is a Great University in India

Placements: There are jobs in CPCB, state pollution control boards, etc. You can also get appointed as an environmentalist in several environmental-related firms, and you can become an environmental analyst. The Central Pollution Control Board also offers internships for our course.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure for our course is poor, but the campus has good infrastructure, a good library facility, and good teachers. There is free Wi-Fi for students, and there are also good facilities for those who want to excel in sports, with good cricket, football, volleyball, and basketball grounds available.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, and it’s not so hard to study. There is a little chemistry, biology, mathematics, and a little physics, but it’s not hard to study; it’s easy for Plus Two biology students. Microbiology is also there. We get admission through a special entrance conducted by Jamia Millia.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty.

Placements: My course is one of the newest offerings here, with 20 regular seats and 29 self-financed seats. For regular students, it costs 8k per year, while self-financed students pay 45k per year, even though both groups study in the same class with the same resources. The placement cell for my course is pathetic; no one from there wants to help each other.

Infrastructure: We don’t have a proper building or adequate lab facilities. They only take this much money from us and don’t provide anything in return. The hostel fees are very high compared to other universities, and the students who need hostel admission often can’t get it without external involvement.

Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified, but they don’t know how to teach students. The syllabus is not that helpful; a normal parallel college has a better syllabus than us. The pass percentage is good because the syllabus is simple, but my friends from other colleges (not as highly ranked) are studying more than we are. Here, only the ranking value matters; otherwise, Jamia’s EVS department is a waste.

Other: Only academics are focused on here. Even though my course is simple, the pressure given to us makes us depressed. The students are not cooperative; everyone is so selfish. The teachers are also not connective and helpful.
