For courses like MBA, M Pharma, BTech and MTech, you have to submit your CMAT, GPAT, JEE Mains and GATE scores. For other courses you have to give a separate entrance exam conducted by the University and based on your merit you will get admission.

For PG admissions, GPAT, GATE, CMAT scores are considered for admissions. Additionally, admission to various UG courses is merit-based. For BTech admissions, JEE Main and JKCET scores are considered for shortlisting the students.

The university releases application forms online on its official website (kashmiruniversity.net). However, the application form can also be collected from the admission office of Kashmir University.

The Kashmir University highest package has not been released officially. However, the course-wise median package has been disclosed in the NIRF report 2024. Kashmir University BTech admission take place through the merit secured in JEE Main exams. Candidates with a valid JEE Main score can apply for admission into the programme. Once the results of the exams are announced candidates are provided with provisional admission on application. Admission is only finalised when the candidate has done the document verification and some amount of the tuition fee is paid.
