KMAT Kerala Preparation: Section-wise Preparation Strategy
According to previous years’ trends, the KMAT Kerala exam is moderately difficult. Check out the section-wise preparation strategy for the KMAT Kerala exam below.
Section 1: Quantitative Aptitude: To ace this section, candidates must brush up on their basic mathematics skills. Candidates must focus on speed and accuracy to fetch good marks in this section. Prepare for topics such as Percentages, Time and Work, Pie charts, Bar graphs, Basic Arithmetic, Simple and Compound Interest, Algebra, etc. Candidates must note that the KMAT Kerala exam has negative markings; hence they must first focus on solving questions that they are one hundred per cent sure of. Candidates can refer to NCERT books of class 10 and Class 12. It is vital to solve mock tests and sample papers, as it will improve speed and accuracy. Regular practice will definitely go a long way.
Section 2: English Language: This section of the KMAT Kerala question paper is all about the English language, its usage and reading comprehension. To score well in this section candidates must improve their vocabulary and practice grammar. Since this section has comprehension passages, it is important to focus on speed. Candidates must prepare for topics such as Grammar, Word Meanings, Tense, Antonyms and Synonyms, Para Jumbles, etc. This section can be a little consuming because of the long passages. Hence, candidates must divide their time accordingly.
Section 3: Data Sufficiency and Logical Reasoning: This section of the KMAT Kerala exam analyses the candidates’ critical and logical thinking capabilities. To prepare for this section, candidates must prepare for topics such as Bar Graphs, Pie Charts, Tables, Blood Relations, Data Structures, Clocks, Direction Sense, Strong and Weak Arguments, Coding and Decoding, etc. Solve an ample number of mock tests and previous years’ question papers. Focus on solving the questions with accuracy. Candidates must make short notes while preparing and writing down formulae and tricks.
Section 4: General Knowledge and Business Scenario: The only preparation tip to ace this section is to be updated with the latest news and trends. Candidates should make newspapers their friends to score well in this section. They must be updated with all the business news, trends and scenarios. Not only this, but they must also be well acquainted with history, current affairs, world news, sports, etc. Candidates must also have a basic knowledge of Science, Geography, Politics, etc.
