NIRF 2025 Rankings are out. As per the latest NIRF 2025 rankings, KGMU ranks 8th in Medical, 29th in State Public University and 83rd in the Overall category.
The NEET MDS 2026 exam date has been set as May 2, 2026 (tentatively) for KGMU admission to the MDS course. The registrations for the same are expected to start soon.
A few more updates are given below:
- The NEET UG 2026 registration has started for admission to MBBS, BDS and other courses. The last date to register is Mar 8, 2026. Also, the NEET UG exam 2026 is going to be held on May 3, 2026.
- The NEET PG 2025 round 3 final results are out for admission to MD, MS, and PG Diploma courses. Students have to report to their allotted institutions till Feb 11, 2026.
- The UP NEET PG 2025 round 3 merit list has been released, and the online choice filling process has started for admission to MD, MS, and Diploma courses. The last date for students to declare their choices is Feb 11, 2026. Further, the results for the same will be released on Feb 13 or Feb 14, 2026.

NEET rank and scores are not required if candidates want to seek admission to the BSc Nursing programme offered at King George's Medical University. The aspirants must appear for the Uttar Pradesh Common Nursing Entrance Test (UP CNET) if they want to get admission to the KGMU BSc Nursing course.
KGMU offers admission to MBBS course for a duration to five and half years (66 months). Admission to MBBS courses is entirely entrance-based. In order to get admission to MBBS course at KGMU, candidates must pass Class 12 with minimum 50% aggregate from a recognised board. The total fees for BSc courses at KGMU range from INR 48,000 to INR 3 lakh. Fees for the BSc programme also varies according to reservation quota. Candidates from general category are required to pay INR 48,100 (With Hostel) and 43,200 (Without Hostel). However, OBC/ SC/ ST category students are required to pay INR 42100 (With Hostel) and INR 37200 (Without Hostel). Usually, the tuition fee is paid at the beginning of each academic year.
The NEET SS application fee is INR 3,500. The fee is same for candidates belonging to each category. This is the application fee for each group. Hence, candidates planning to apply for two groups will have to pay INR 7,000 (3,500 + 3,500). The fee has to be paid in online mode, via credit/debit card or net banking. NBE states, "Applications forms once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Fee shall neither be carried forward to a future date nor refunded under any circumstances. Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn. Any claim for refund, adjustment or carrying forward of Application fee will not be entertained. Examination fees in respect of candidates who are absent or have been declared ineligible due to any reason will be forfeited." As compared to last year, the fee has been reduced. Last year, the fee amount was INR 4,250 for each group.
KGMU NEET UG Round 1 cutoff for KGMU Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) is 1097 which is very close to this range. This was for general category under All India quota. Unless the candidate belongs to some other category or domicile, one can not afford to score less than this.
With this rank, there is a probability of getting admission however since, the cut offs keep changing from round to round, better ranks definitely increases your chances of getting KGMU admission to MBBS.

DM stands for Doctor of Medicine, which is a super-specialised course in the field of Medical. Candidates can only pursue this course after getting a PG degree in Medical.
