Koneru Lakshmaiah Education Foundation (KLEF) was established in 1981 as KL College of Engineering. It was upgraded to KL College of Engineering Autonomous in 2006 by UGC and was declared KL Deemed to be University in 2009 by UGC. KL University is situated on a spacious 100-acre campus. KL University Guntur Infrastructure
In terms of Infrastructure, KL University has a Library, Wi-Fi Campus, Hostel (for both boys and girls), Cafeteria, Shuttle Service, Auditorium, Hospital / Medical Facilities, Sports Complex, Gym, Labs, an ATM, Indoor stadium, seminar hall, and Moot Court (Law). The Central Library of KLEF holds many materials that serve the whole KLEF community. It has materials relevant to the Engineering, Science & Humanities courses offered by the KLEF, and includes Agricultural Engineering, Pharmacy, Law, and specialist books and journals. The library contains more than one lakh and fifty thousand books, and five hundred hard copies of periodicals on all subjects related to the teaching and research interests of the KLEF staff and students. The library has over 21,300 electronic journal titles, academic databases, and about 30 lakh eBooks which includes the World E-Books Collection.
KL University has separate hostels for girls and boys with well-furnished rooms and modern amenities. A state-of-the-art kitchen and spacious dining area have been provided for all the hostels.
