Manipal University's Department of Manipal Institute of Technology offers a four-year BTech course. Those who are seeking admission to BTech course are required to fulfil the basic eligibility criteria as per the course requirements. Candidates who passed Class 12 or equivalent with Physics, Mathematics and English as main subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology or any technical vocational subject are eligible to apply for this course. They must have obtained 50% aggregate in the last qualifying exam of Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry and any other optional subject in combinations. This is a mandatory step to qualify for all the General Category Indian aspirants for MIT Manipal BTech admissions.
Manipal University Fee Breakup 2026
Manipal University fee structure consists of diff. components. The fee offered is INR 14,000 - 63,21,000. Students will be asked to pay the fee after completing the admission process of the course. This must be noted that the fee is taken from the official website / sanctioning body. It is still subject to revision and hence, is indicative. Manipal University offers MBBS course for a duration of five and a half years. This course is taught via the three colleges affiliated to Manipal University. Candidates can get admission to MBBS in the following colleges and the final degree will be rewarded by Manipal University:
- Kasturba Medical College, Manipal
- Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore
- Manipal Tata Medical College
Admission to MBBS courses at all the above colleges are done through a common selection process. All the apirants are required to qualify for NEET UG entrance exam with a valid rank.
The Manipal University MET Cutoff 2025 is out for all rounds and categories for the students belonging to the All India quota. The cutoff is released in the form of ranks and is valid for admission to various engineering and medical courses at both UG and PG level. For the General AI category, the cutoff for BTech CSE ( AI and ML) course was 12751 for Manipal Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. For the BTech ECE course, the cutoff in 2025 was 15046 for the same category and college.
Please note that the cutoff for each category, round, specialisation will vary.
The Manipal University NEET PG Cutoff 2025 has been released for Round 2 for all categories under the AI quota. For the General category candidates under the All India quota, the hardest course for admission, as per round 2 closing ranks was MD in Radiodiagnosis, with a cutoff rank of 4555. In contrast the easiest course was MD in Microbiology, where 134480 was the last round cutoff rank.
Please note that the cutoff for other categories and rounds will differ from this category and round.

Through the MET dates, candidates will be able to view the official calendar for all of the events relating to exams and admission. Yes, entrance exam is required for admission in MAHE Manipal, depending on the courses. Except for a few courses, where candidates are selected through the merit obtained in their last qualifying exam or by qualifying for Department specific tests.
