MNNIT MTech Eligibility & Highlights 2026

MTech at MNNIT Allahabad or NIT Allahabad is a two-year UG degree course. It is divided into four semesters. This course is offered through the eight sub-departments of the Department of Engineering across 20 specialisations. Some of the specialisations in which the PG course is offered are Structural Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Signal Processing, Information Security, etc. NIT Allahabad accepts admission to MTech based on scores in the GATE exam. Shortlisted students have to take part in CCMT counselling for seat allotment.

Our college provides good placements.

Placements: Placements are good in our college compared to other NITs. Due to the recession, many companies didn't allow M.Tech students to sit in placements, so grab any opportunity you get in internships. TPO is very helpful with placements and provides ample opportunities for placements. Students should know about coding for good placements.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Our college has many laboratories. Playgrounds and sports equipment are available in our college. The library will be open from 9 am - 8 pm and is well-equipped with Wi-Fi. The hostel is average. Around four students are allowed in 2-3 seater rooms, but our college will soon be operating a new hostel building so there will be no issues. The hostel has LAN and Wi-Fi connectivity.

Faculty: All faculty members are well-educated, supportive, and knowledgeable. They have done their Ph.D. at IITs and NITs. They always clear our doubts. Exams are based on the curriculum. Our college conducts mid-semester and end-semester exams. Marks are based on correct answers. Students should study and prepare well for exams.

Really Good Infrastructure and faculty members. Join only for pursuing further Studies after M.Tech.

Placements: The passing out batch of 2022 saw only 3 out of 15 students getting placed. L&T seems to be the only company that comes for recruitment drive. The highest package was 10LPA and the lowest was 6.5LPA. Internships are out of the question as the college focuses mainly on Research and Mini Projects.

Infrastructure: The Infrastructure for Academics is sufficient with well-kept labs and isolated faculty rooms. The Hostel infrastructure on the other hand is good for B.Tech students and a new hostel is under construction but for M.Tech, it is not sufficient and few students have to stay out of the campus. Even the College Hostels are outside the main Campus. Wi-Fi is present everywhere in the campus, Library is decent with good books and AC halls for reference studies are available. The quality of food in the mess is poor and every complaint is turned down sighting low-budget as the reason. The sports field and areas are abundant but we must bring our own sports equipments and our own sport items such as basketball, volleyball, tennis racket, cricket bat, badminton racket, football, etc. Canteen facility is quite good but area is less to accommodate students at peak hours.

Faculty: The teachers are mostly knowledgeable, some are even the mentors of IIT professors and every faculty is genuinely helpful and a good guide. The course curriculum is not only relevant but also caters to the interest of the students in their field of specialisation. Almost all the students who pay attention to the lectures are able to pass the exams. The semesters are not difficult, but do require regularity and proficiency.

Other: This college is the best for M.Tech in North India and its fees is also quite low compared to NITs of the South. The crowd here is great, brilliant and Lively. The fest makes the entire campus come alive with beautiful depictions and active participation by the students.

It has good socio-cultural campus life but is low in area.

Placements: Mainly software-based companies visit the campus. Software-based departments, electronics and communication engineering, electrical engineering, and mechanical engineering get maximum exposure in placements as per priority. The highest salary package offered in M.Tech 31 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA.

Infrastructure: Facilities include a library, Wi-Fi, hostel, health center, gym, and cultural clubs. Labs are average, and lab maintenance is good but varies department-wise. Food served is rather the same as every other hostel in this country. You will surely miss the homemade food. Foods are completely vegetarian. Breakfast is served at 8 PM-9:30 AM and lunch at 12:30 PM -14:00 PM, tiffin at 17:00 PM -18:30 PM, and dinner at 19:30 PM-21:00 PM. Time may vary hostel-wise. Canteen and stationery shops are available on the hostel campus. Electricians and carpenters visit frequently. Complaints are cleared promptly varies with hostel.

Faculty: Professors are knowledgeable and interactions are good and friendly. Teaching is of good quality as per the experience of the professors. The course is constructed better at the graduation level than at the master's level. Huge set of rules and regulations in some departments where in some life is easy. Semester exams are scoring if students are hard-working. The pass percentage is 100%.

Other: We have an enjoyable innovative tech fest. Study and games here go side by side. It is mainly a software-based college. Space is really low. Students are not allowed to sit in the open places. Guards are strict.

If you have an interest in biology and want to pursue research further, join this course.

Placements: You will have very less options for placements, and placements are offered mostly in consultation companies or software companies. None of the core companies visits here for the biomedical branch. Most of our seniors are opting for higher studies and PhD. However, you will get good exposure here.

Infrastructure: It is a great campus, and everything is fine. The campus doesn't define the college. It is the oldest NIT, so the campus is also old. However, you will love the weather here. The quality of the food served here is not good like the food served everywhere else. Sports and entertainment facilities are available, and you will surely enjoy. There are well-equipped labs.

Faculty: There are well-experienced faculty members, but there are always a few exceptions. However, overall, our college is great. There are great instructors and great seniors. But you will have to study to get grades, and you will have a lot of pressure to score good marks.

Other: You will enjoy the course and the college as well.

I am totally satisfied with average placements.

Placements: At least students who are much interested in placements got placed with a minimum salary package of 5 LPA. Google and L&T are a few good companies which visit here, and many other companies are also open to all students. Top roles offered for research work are in ISRO and other scientific remote sensing areas.

Infrastructure: Hostels conditions are average. They have fewer hostels, and students are more, so they keep 4 students in 3 seaters, and no single-seater is available. Food quality is good in hostels' mess and canteens. Sports and games facilities are very good, and a gym is also available for free.

Faculty: Teachers are helpful, highly qualified and more knowledgeable. Teaching quality is very good. Teachers are well-experienced and have good field and technology knowledge with good scopes of best-fitted equipment which are easily available.

An NIT with good placements.

Placements: Placements in our college are satisfactory. Out of 10 people, 6 students got placed, which means the average placement percentage is 60%. The highest salary package offered was 18 LPA, the lowest package offered was 6 LPA and the average package was 9 LPA. Roles offered were entry-level roles. Internships in our college are very good.

Infrastructure: The college has good Wi-Fi connection, and students can access it for study purpose. The library is well stocked and completely digitised. It contains a variety of books. Labs are well -equipped with all the advanced equipment.

Faculty: Almost all faculty members are well experienced and have both practical and theoretical knowledge. Teachers are friendly with students and are always available. Teaching methods are easily understandable. The faculty-student ratio is 1:15. The industry exposure provided is very good, and students get to know what they are about to do in the industry.
