To get admission at NIT Rourkela, General AI category students need to attain a rank of at least 41435 or below to be eligible, according to the round 1 of NIT Rourkela JEE Main cutoff 2026. For this category, the round 1 cutoff ranged from 398 to 41435. Among all the courses, BArch and Integrated BSc + MSc in Life Science were the most and least competitive courses for admission. 

For the students who belong to the General HS category, the required round 1 rank needed for admission should be at least 61256 or below.

National Institute of Technology (NIT) Rourkela offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, Doctoral, Executive PhD and other courses to students. NIT Rourkela fee refund policy states that after the last withdrawal/cancellation date of JOSSA 2026, if an admitted student cancels admission/ withdraws/leaves the institute without completing the entire programme, all fees paid including the caution deposit will be forfeited by the institute. Mess advance may be refunded after deduction of dues, if any. This clause is applicable even before formal registration to the 1st semester and starting of classes.
