The course-wise median package has been released. An improving trend was witnessed in the median package offered to BTech students over the past three years (2021 to 2023). Likewise, the M.Tech and MBA median package has also improved year-on-year. On the other hand, a fluctuating trend was observed in the MArch median package. The NIT Trichy placement package trends witnessed over the past three years for popular courses are presented below:

SPA Delhi: As per the NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to B.Arch students was INR 6 LPA, respectively. About, 17 B. Plan 65 B.Arch and 145 PG (2-year) students were placed during SPA Delhi placements 2022. NIT Trichy: As per the NIRF report, the median package offered to B.Arch students is INR 6 LPA. NIT Calicut: The average package offered during NIT Calicut B.Arch placements 2022 was INR 7.08 LPA (as per unofficial sources). From the above data, it can be observed that all three institutes have somewhat similar placement scenarios.

The CSE branch recorded the highest placement rate during BTech placements 2024. Looking at the past three years' statistics, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of almost all the BTech branches, except MME which recorded a declining trend. NIT Trichy offers MBA course across seven specialisations. These are Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, Production and Operations, Business Analytics, Information systems and IT Consulting and General Management. All the MBA courses are offered in full-time mode through DOMS NIT Trichy. The admission process for all MBA specialisations are same. Candidates willing for admission to MBA at NIT Trichy must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria and qualify for CAT entrance exam.

Usually, the duration of post graduation courses is 2 years. At NIT Trichy, the duration of a PG-level MCA course is of three years. This course is offered in a full-time mode via the Department of Computer Applications at the institute. Admission to this course is directly based on NIMCET entrance exam.  To get admission to M.Tech at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria. Aspirants need to be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate with BE/BTech from a recognised University. Admission is conducted based a valid GATE score. The applicant further must submit the documents at the time of form filling and admission procedure as a proof of eligibility.

As per the NIT Trichy ranking 2023, the institute is ranked number nine under the “Engineering” category. Additionally, the institute offers MTech course across popular specialisations such as Chemical Engineering, CSE, Data Analytics, Thermal Power Engineering, etc. The placement percentage for PG courses in 2022 was 92.9%. Companies such as Google, Facebook, Samsung, ITC, Oracle, etc., are the top recruiters visited in the previous year placements.

To get admission to a four-year BTech course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates who passed Class 12 with minimum 75% aggregate in Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with any one of the Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Technical Vocational subject are eligible to apply for this course. NIT Trichy JEE Main cutoff 2025 for Round 1 has been released for different categories of students belonging to the AI and HS quotas. If you belong to the General AI quota, the first round closing ranks for NIT Trichy varied between 1104 and 18304 for B.Tech. admission across multiple specialisations. NIT Trichy offers two-year M.Tech programmes in 23 specialisations. The course is available in specialisations, including Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics, Data Analytics, Environmental Engineering, VLSI Systems, etc. Admission to all these courses is entrance-based. For 2022, cut off was 80 for General category candidates in CAT percentile Cutoff (General-All India). The cutoff for the past two years 2021 and 2020 remained same, i.e., 80.

The 2024 median salary is not available as of now. Earlier, the median package offered to MBA batch 2023 was INR 8.70 LPA. Looking at the past three years stats (2021 to 2023), an improving trend was recorded in the NIT Trichy MBA median package, which is depicted below:

The last year 2022 cutoff ranks for BTech in Electronics and Communication Engineering at NIT Trichy - National Institute of Technology other than General category are - 6680 for OBC, 15514 for SC, 205 for ST, 614 for EWS and 75 for PWD. While the admissions are based on the scores/rank obtained in JEE exam, the last cut offs also change a lot depending on All India quota or Home State. It also varies if the applicant is a female.

The NIT Trichy counselling 2022 process has been concluded after the release of Round 3 on the official website of DASA. For the upcoming admission session 2025, candidates are required to fill an online application form on the online admission ptal of DASA. To apply for the DASA UG counselling process, candidates can follow the step mentioned below:

• The candidates eligible for DASA counselling have to register to be able to participate in the admission process. The DASA counselling registration process is given below:
• To register, the candidate needs to enter the JEE Main 2025 application number and Date of Birth. A web link will be mailed to complete the registration process on the email ID registered with JEE Main. The application number of JEE Mains will be your username.
• In the registration form, candidates have to fill in the required details. Applicants are required to upload the following:

1. the latest passport size photograph in JPG format (size ~ 3.5cmx3.5cm, file size < 100kB).
2. Scanned signature of applicant in JPG format (file size<100 kB). 

• Submit the completed DASA application form. The submitted online registration form should be downloaded and saved for their records. However, there is no need to send the hard copy of the form and documents to the DASA office.

Interested students have to give the JEE Main exam in order to get admission in any one of the NITs available. JEE Main is a computer-based test conducted at the national-level entrance examination. Students can find the table below for eligibility in order to take admission in NIT Trichy:

As per the unofficial sources, the total seat intake for a three-year MCA course at NIT Trichy is 115. These seats are filled via NIMCET exam. To secure a seat to MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must qualify for NIMCET. Candidates who qualify for NIMCET are called for a centralised counselling process. The qualified candidates are offered seats as per their rankings. 

NIT Trichy offers a two-year MSc course across four specialisations. This course is taught through the Department of Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. NIT Trichy accepts admission to MSc through the IIT JAM entrance exam, which is conducted by IITs for selection to MSc courses. The admission process gets completed with the CCMN Counselling round. Candidates must keep a close eye on the CCMN Counselling and prepare accordingly.
