SPA Delhi: As per the NIRF report 2023, the median package offered to B.Arch students was INR 6 LPA, respectively. About, 17 B. Plan 65 B.Arch and 145 PG (2-year) students were placed during SPA Delhi placements 2022. NIT Trichy: As per the NIRF report, the median package offered to B.Arch students is INR 6 LPA. NIT Calicut: The average package offered during NIT Calicut B.Arch placements 2022 was INR 7.08 LPA (as per unofficial sources). From the above data, it can be observed that all three institutes have somewhat similar placement scenarios.

The NIT Trichy CSE average package has not been released. However, the median package for BTech and M.Tech has been released in the NIRF report, which are as follows:

NIT Trichy MSc admission is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam and the entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for MSc include bachelor's degree with a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA (for SC/ ST/PwD, minimum 55% aggregate or 6.0 CGPA is required) in the respective subjects. 

For 2022, cut off was 80 for General category candidates in CAT percentile Cutoff (General-All India). The cutoff for the past two years 2021 and 2020 remained same, i.e., 80. 

At the postgraduate level, NIT Trichy offers M.A. English courses to students. The candidate must have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 60% aggregate and the accepted entrance exam is CUET-PG. To get admission to this course, the candidates must apply online on the official website of the university. Then follow the application process and clear all the selection rounds as prescribed by the university.

NIT Trichy offers a full-time two-year MBA course via its Department of Management Studies. NIT Trichy is the only institute among other NITs, which is funded by the Ministry of HRD. As per observing the ranking trends for the Management category course offered at NIT Trichy, it was 39 in the year 2022, whereas it improved in the year 2023 and ranked 35 by NIRF. Usually, the duration of post graduation courses is 2 years. At NIT Trichy, the duration of a PG-level MCA course is of three years. NIT Trichy does not conduct any in-house entrance test. It grant admission to the courses on the basis of merit in national-level examinations. The accepted entrance examinations are JEE Main,  GATE,  IIT JAM,  CAT, and NIMCET. Only the candidates with a valid score in the accepted exams as per the applied course are admitted.

To join a three-year MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements of the course as stated on the official website of NIT. To pursue this full-time PG-level course at NIT Trichy, candidates are required to pass graduation with Mathematics/ Statistics/ Business Mathematics as one of the subjects. Candidates must have obtained minimum 60% aggregate in the final examination of graduation. Candidates who are appearing for the final examinations of graduation are also eligible to apply. 

 To get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, students must be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects. Students who are graduated with BE/B Tech or equivalent from a recognised University can also apply for this course. However, a five percent of relaxation is give to candidates who belong from SC/ ST categories. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 55% or 6.0 CGPA in their respective graduation. In order to get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates are required to secure minimum of 60% aggregate in a three-year graduation course. Admission to MCA at NIT Trichy is entirely entrance-based. Eligible candidtaes are required to appear for NIMCET entrance exam, which is a common entrance exam for MCA in all the NITS. It'smandatory for every aspirant to qualify the exam with a valid rank. Following that, the qualified candidates have to register for NIMCET counselling process. Later on, the institute will release the rank list of the selected candidates.

According to the NIT Trichy, annual report 2024, the overall placement rate stood at 85%. Over 1300 students have been placed so far. The MSc students were offered packages upto INR 27 LPA. Meanwhile, the NIRF reports have been out for 2023 on the offiicial website. So as per NIRF 2023 reports, the NIT Trichy placements recorded a median package of INR 15.76 LPA offered to its BTech graduates.

The Cutoff trend for BTech courses at NIT Trichy shows a fluctuating trend in competition. For the OBC category students under the Home State quota, the last round closing rank for CSE admission was 1631 in 2025. For the same BTech specialisation, the cutoff rank was 7913 in 2024, while in 2023, it was 1778. 

Both NIT Warangal and NIT Trichy are considered good for BTech course. NIT Trichy offers MBA course across seven specialisations. These are Human Resource Management, Marketing, Finance, Production and Operations, Business Analytics, Information systems and IT Consulting and General Management. All the MBA courses are offered in full-time mode through DOMS NIT Trichy. The admission process for all MBA specialisations are same.
