The NIT Trichy CSE average package has not been released. However, the median package for BTech and M.Tech has been released in the NIRF report, which are as follows:

As per the NIRF 2024 ranking under the “Engineering” category, IIIT Delhi ranks 85 among the top Engineering institutes of the country. The total fee for MTech in IIIT Delhi ranges between INR 3.7 lakh and INR 6 lakh. NIT Trichy MTech fee is INR 1.4 lakh. As per placement statistics, the median package is recorded to be INR 18.17 LPA for IIITD and INR 7 LPA for NIT Trichy. Hence, it can be concluded that the fee is higher at IIITD. It must be noted that the fee given for both institutes is as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. But, this institute also has got a good ranking as per a recognised ranking body. Thus, if given a choice, IIIT Delhi is a better option than NIT Trichy.

NIT Trichy admission process is entirely entrance-based. Candidates are required to qualify for national-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, IIT JAM, CAT, etc., for the respective courses. Apart from that, candidates must also have to appear for the additional selection rounds such as Personal Interview (PI) round for MBA. Candidates who obtain a valid score as per the course's requirements in the respective entrance exam will have to register and appear for the counselling process conducted by specific counselling bodies.  To get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, students must be graduated with minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BSc/ BSc (Hons)/ BCA/ BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent subject as one of the subjects. Students who are graduated with BE/B Tech or equivalent from a recognised University can also apply for this course. However, a five percent of relaxation is give to candidates who belong from SC/ ST categories. These candidates are required to obtain minimum of 55% or 6.0 CGPA in their respective graduation. Admissions to NIT (National Institute of Technology), Trichy is Entrance Based for almost all of the courses. The college accepts different exam scores for different levels of courses. Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains is necessary for admissions to the undergraduate engineering programs, B.Tech which offers 8 courses and B.Arch which offers 1 course. Admissions are based on the marks scored in class 12^th or equivalent as well as the JEE (Main) examination. Seats are allocated to students through Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA), Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) and the Direct Admission of Students Abroad (DASA).

In order to get admission to MCA course at NIT Trichy, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria in the first place. Candidates are required to secure minimum of 60% aggregate in a three-year graduation course. Admission to MCA at NIT Trichy is entirely entrance-based. Eligible candidtaes are required to appear for NIMCET entrance exam, which is a common entrance exam for MCA in all the NITS. It'smandatory for every aspirant to qualify the exam with a valid rank. Following that, the qualified candidates have to register for NIMCET counselling process. Later on, the institute will release the rank list of the selected candidates.

NIT Trichy offers a two-year MSc course across four specialisations. This course is taught through the Department of Computer Applications, Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. NIT Trichy accepts admission to MSc through the IIT JAM entrance exam, which is conducted by IITs for selection to MSc courses. The admission process gets completed with the CCMN Counselling round. Candidates must keep a close eye on the CCMN Counselling and prepare accordingly.

IIT Dhanbad offers BTech admisison based on JEE Advanced scores, whereas NIT Trichy admission is based on candidates' performance in the JEE Main scores. However, if you are qualified for the exams and getting both IIT Dhanbad and NIT Trichy for CSE admisison, you must look for all the important aspects such as CSE cutoff, placement, NIRF ranking and course fees, etc. JoSAA Round 1 cutoff is out for admission to the BTech courses and CSE turned out as the most competitive course. Talking about the closing rank, NIT Trichy (1501) is the toughest to get into as compared to IIT Dhanbad (3594) for the General AII India category students. The CSE branch recorded the highest placement rate during BTech placements 2024. Looking at the past three years' statistics, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of almost all the BTech branches, except MME which recorded a declining trend. For admission in a BTech course at NITT, candidates shall have a valid score of JEE Main. Candidates with a score equal to or more than the cutoff marks further becomes eligible for participation in the JoSAA counselling round. If the seats are left vacant after this round, then those are filled through the CSAB counselling. Candidates who pass Class 12 in Science stream wtih PCM/ PBM subjects are eligible to apply for this course. 

As per the data available around the NIT Trichy placements MCA for the year 2022, the total placement rate was recorded at 96.3%, which remains stagnant as of the year 2021. Admission to an MBA programme at NIT Trichy is done on the basis of merit in the CAT exam. In order to get admission to this course, candidates must fulfil the minimum eligibility requirements as per the CAT exam and appear for the entrance exam. Candidates who are shortlisted based on exam scores are further required to go through a personal interview round. The NIT Trichy CSE average package details are not out yet. However, the institute has released the 2022 placement rate for CSE branch of BTech. During 2022 placements, 98% of CSE students were placed. In 2021, the placement rate for the CSE branch stood at 98.8%.
